A fun wireless game which you can use to make them think!,

POX is Hasbro's new wireless electronic game. It is geared for boys (and girls) ages 8 to 13. Using mouse-sized, radio-controlled "POX Containment Units" with three-inch LCD screens, the goal of the player is to save the earth from the spread of an alien DNA by firing off more toxic strains of the spores via heads, torsos, and tails and across three different-colored species: Spino, Cycro and Plasmo. Players within 30 feet of one another (POX is a LOT more fun when playing against other players, rather than alone) automatically detect and infect one another -- whether they like it or not. The youngsters like the "sneaky" aspect to this game, not realizing that this is educational in itself, in that they are developing and honing their strategy skills, which is an added bonus to parents and to the children themselves. They "win" libraries of superior POX strains, which they store and use in future wars. I don't wish to leave you under the impression that these games are exceedingly violent, I would term them rather "exciting". The players are fighting aliens (which are reminiscent of Tamagachi and Pokemon) rather than "eachother", that carry viruses, and also strive to prevent becoming infected themselves. There's no cutting-edge wireless technology here, no "hard-core" gaming strategy involved, and relatively tame graphic violence since the screen is small. Taking into consideration our uneasy and tragic current affairs, the whole POX concept can be utilized as a mode for which to open communication with your youngster about chemical, germ and viral warfare. These games encourage strategic thinking, promote fine motor skills, hand/eye coordination and provide an avenue through which parents may educate their children, by utilizing the devices to initiate discussion concerning the danger and consequences of contamination, infection and chem/bio hazards and protection and prevention thereof.

POX is GREAT!! You pick your paths and gradually increase on the difficulty. Its fun game for all ages , and and isnt outragously expensive and doesnt require cards of any type to make you monster strong. The only thing i dislike is nobody really has it yet , luckily , me and my cousant got one , we have lots of fun with them.

POX is absolutely the most intelligent and original toy to come out in quite a while. This is much more than just some overpriced novelty (like Pokemon, or Battlebots), this is a toy ahead of its time. After playing with it for a few weeks I realized that a lot more thought and time went into this than meets the eye. This is a game with imagination that requires quite a bit of thought to strategy, and can be played against any one who may be anywhere close-by. I would like to put forth my recommendation on this item to any who are considering it, and my thanks to the toy makers who created it.

Hi my name is Zane I have had a pox since they came out. It has not failed me yet. I get into lots of battles and most of them I done even know who I am battleing. I play with it whenever I can.So if your child wants a virtual pet get him/her a POX. On a scale from 1 to 10 I give Pox an 9,000,000,000,000.

hey this toys are pretty cool but you get bored after a while if your friends does not have one, because its hard in one player and in multiplayer you need to be close to someone that has one(VERY RARE) and u cant control it from right there you make the moves when u get the pox , but if u like paper rock scissors buy it. i have had mine for a year now and i have only spent about 48 hours playin it but it is still like new so its durable. i will also like to recomend a toy called beyblades very cool and you never get tired of it.^_^'

Its a really great game, where it allows complete custimization! You build, program, and fight with up to four pox! You can build up to 7,500 diffrent types. Also, once you win you capture the other persons pox. You can dissect it, and get one of they're bodyparts (head body or tail) and use them to creat another pox. Each bodypart has a special power. Now, here come the pros and the consPROS Intresting storyline. Cool looking creatures. You can battle people up to thirty feet away without even knowing you just won or lost. On boring trips, you could just play over and over and over because its really easy to play on the sologame. CONS Horrible graphics Requires some reaserch on which parts have certain powers. Sologame isn't as fun as multiplayer. Controls are hard to learn.

I myself really like all of the pox, and Cycro can attack the most times each phase with his body parts. One example is the Hastener. I truly think that Pox are a good challenge and great fun. For anyone who can't decide whether or not to get them, if you like strategical battle games, then this is definitely for you. POX RULE!!

This is the game that goes in the car and to grandmas house and anywhere else there is time to consume. Learning how to play once the idea is understood, it is easy to play and master. Loads of fun battling each other! My 8 yr old can not wait to battle others! We have not had problems with its durability yet, it has been a week.
