I know agree with her, they look the same but they aren't.

It's a minor con since it's such a small piece that gets ripped off, it's just annoying.

Works very easy and saves you a lot of money compared to buying them from the store.

If you're a smoker and are interested in exploring the possibility of rolling your own (RYO) smokes, the Premier Excel is certainly a good place to start.

Like most people, I started experimenting with RYO cigs using a hand injector that utilizes a slide or gun-cocking motion to fill empty cigarette tubes with tobacco. This method is good for a beginner or those looking to just experiment with RYO. However, after awhile this method becomes tedious if not a hassle especially if you smoke more than just a few cigarettes a day.

With that being the case, I decided to ask for this product for Xmas and received it early!

So far, after making a pack or so of cigs, I have to say that I really am impressed. The machine is efficient and smooth so long as you follow the directions enclosed.

One thing you should know, though, is that this machine certainly isn't suitable to carry around like the smaller hand injectors and other small rolling machines. I know (from reading other reviews on other sites) that some people do travel with this machine on longer trips, but it's just not really a feasible to take this along with you daily to work or for a night out on the town.

The good news is that it was never intended to be a carry-along machine. Instead, it's intended to be a solid, well-built machine that'll have you making a pack or two of cigs in just a few minutes. In the time it takes me to SMOKE one cigarette, I can make at least 12-15 more. Once you get the hang of it, you can do it without really even looking. So the idea of sitting in front of the boob-tube (a daily routine for many of us less health-minded folks) and making enough cigs to last until the next day is more than reasonable.

I purchased this machine a month ago - my first machine. Though it took a while getting used to, I was making progress. For example, threading the tube onto the injector was difficult and remains that way, though I've learned that the 'angle of approach' can make a difference. If you angle the tube upwards towards the injector when threading it, you'll ruin fewer tubes. Also, figuring out how much tobacco to use took some time, and though I've never owned a cigarette rolling machine before, I noticed that unless fine tobacco is packed tightly, the filter end of the tube will be floppy.

That brings me to the reason I only gave it 4 stars - I only had the machine a month, and it already jammed and needs to be sent in for repair - and like I said, if you don't pack fine tobacco tightly, the end near the filter won't fill. So it seems you have to choose between floppy-ended cigarettes and no cigarettes because the machine jams and breaks. Also, when the machine jammed I was unable to move the lever in EITHER direction, even when I removed some tobacco as the instructions suggested.

The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 3 is because even with a broken machine, I still saved money rolling my own as I was paying $68 a carton before. I'll buy another, but I'm not sure if I'll buy this one again. Only time will tell.

UPDATE - I'm the customer above who had the machine jam and needed to send it in for repairs after only one month of use. I purchased another machine (same model), and after only one week, this one too has jammed. In purchasing this second machine, I now realize that the first machine never worked right from the get-go.

I have tried the Topomatic machine and this machine, I bought this machine due to its just easy to make a perfect cigarette. the grab handle and lever is fantastic and easy to make the perfect smoke. I do recommend this machine especially seeing they dropped the price. Oh!! Also it is a breeze to clean!!!!

Update!!!!!!!! Ok it broke after 6 months of use!!! So I give it 3 stars, it really was easy to use. Ended up buying the Topomatic (its metal) Bummer the Premier wasn't made a little more rugged. Just thought I should let everyone know!

It is easy to use, almost perfect cigarettes. But there is a problem which drives me nuts. Near the filter does not fill fully. Every part of the cigarette is filled with tobacco very well, but near filter is not filled well. I have followed direction and filled the corners first. This is not much a problem for fast smokers. But I tend to hold onto cigarettes for a very long time and smoke slowly. By the time i am midway through, the cigarette is bent and I have to put it out.

I've owned this machine for a year now and I love it. The first one I had lasted about 4 months and I was disappointed because it worked like a charm. But I bought another one and haven't had any problems with it since. I've also googled the web site where I can buy the parts if I need to and I have just in case I need them. Think about it. This machine costs $25 and does a far better job then the expensive ones. If I would have to replace this once a year then so be it. With the price of bought cigarettes now, the $25 is worth it to me. It makes a good cigarette. I knock out 7 packs in one hour with this machine. Now can others say that about the other machines out there???
