Works Great for a Little While,

I thought I would spend more to get a quality product and I purchase this (Pro-1) Hot Knife and it is only 6 months old and it is already dead. It had very light use. I would say it probably had one hour of total use. Don't waste your money on this product.

Works exactly as described,
This review is from: PRO-1 HOT KNIFE, Electric Heavy Duty Foam Cutter and Wax Cutter (Misc.)
I bought one of these to cut grooves in my ICF (Insulating Concrete Forms) basement for electric wires and outlet boxes. I did a total of about 7 drops and boxes and had no issues at all with the tool.Works great for this type of work and was much easier then trying to cut out the channels by hand (plus it was very messy trying to cut it). Pretty solid tool.

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: PRO-1 HOT KNIFE, Electric Heavy Duty Foam Cutter and Wax Cutter (Misc.)
I work at a high school that goes ALL OUT for Spirit Week decorations, and most of them are made of 1- to 2-inch styrofoam. This cutter was indespensible as we sliced our way through sheet after sheet (after sheet after sheet!) of styrofoam. It is worth every penny if you have cut lots of styrofoam. However, it's important to keep in mind that melting styrofoam gives off noxious fumes, so it's vital to work in an extremely well ventilated area!
