Great for all your atomic war needs,

Whenever I find myself in the middle of a world wide atomic war, I always use this brand of potassium Iodide. It keeps the radioactive iodine from taking up permanent residence in my body and helps prevent some of the effects of radiation sickness. So when you have to march through the radioactive ruins of your neighborhood, make sure you take your Pro-Ki tablets first.
HA Ha. Seriously. How can you rate an item like this? This is one of those things you hope you never have to use. And if I have to use it, putting a review on Amazon is going to be the last thing on my list of things to do for the day.

This review is from: PRO-KI 65 mg./200 TABLETS (Health and Beauty)
Don't let somebody scare you into spending a lot more money than you have to. Potassium iodide is a salt. Sodium Chloride (tablet salt) is a salt. Then there is potassium chloride salt. Now we have potassium iodide salt.
Storage is not a problem. Just keep the bottle sealed until told to use it. Discard after the expiration date. That's it. Handling and Storage: Storage keep away from oxidising agents, keep well closed to prevent water absorption, protect from light and contact with minerals to prevent decomposition Stabilized forms are available to prevent moisture absorption and release of iodine by decomposition during storage.

This brand is NOT FDA-approved. Get one that is.,
By JimmyB (New York NY) - See all my reviews The 1997 Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act states that: "No person shall introduce or deliver for introduction into interstate commerce any new drug, unless an approval filed pursuant to subsection (b) or (j) of this section is effective with respect to said drug". Potassium Iodide is sensitive to moisture in the air and becomes unstable if exposed to the least amount of humidity. Potassium Iodide that is stored in a bottle and opened daily to dispense will immediately start to degrade (oxidize and turn yellow). There goes all your Potassium Iodide just when you need it most! With 100 - 200 pills in a bottle you would end up tossing most of it away! Do yourself and your family a favor and stick with the three brands (iOSAT Potassium Iodide Tablets, 130 mg (14 Tablets), Thyro Shield Potassium Iodide Oral Solution, Black Raspberry 1 fl oz (30 ml), Thyrosafe) that meet all FDA requirements for potassium iodide as a radiation protective, and is labeled and packaged in accordance with US government guidelines. These three products have demonstrated all quality controls and passed all FDA requirements for purity, quality, safety, efficacy.
