Quality product that is well constructed and attractive in design. Unit comes with accessory mounting clips which I cemented in place to ease installation. A full spring mounting mounting kit is included. Add an inch in each direction to accomodate the width of the fan shroud mounting clips. Fan housing also has holes to mount directly to a surface thereby reducing the width. Fan comes configured to PULL air. Remove one nut and flip over the steel reinforced fan blade and then use the Black wire as positive and you have a PUSHER. Easy..easy..easy. I installed two fans on my Ford Explorer to supplement the A/C cooling at idle. The dash cooling drops off as engine goes to idle because the engine driven fan plunges from 3000 rpm to 500 rpm. Living in Florida, the A/C is used year round so if you drive in traffic at any time, or cool it down with remote start as I do, these two fans maintain the cooling level. I pulled the Ford manual and located the A/C trigger wire and connected my 4-wire fan relay to THE wire that activates the entire A/C circuit, rather than just the compressor. This can be done with a Scotch Clip as the connection is only used to TRIGGER the relay and carries virtually no current. I wanted the fans to operate continuously when the A/C was activated on the dash. Each 7 inch fan pushes 500 cfm and is more reliable than a single larger fan, and easier to package. Mount them high on the A/C evaporator as the gas enters at the top and cools and condenses as it falls to the bottom of the condensor. Current draw appears to be a mere 4 amps per fan. I extended my wiring with heat shrink butt connectors and ran each fan through a 10 amp line fuse in case one fails. I taped the wiring to make a factory quality loom installation that is abrasion proof and impervious to water. Very pleased with the results.

I've been needing a new electric fan in my Yamaha Kodiak 400 for about a year now and I was given the choice of a new one (for $100 - $200) or trying to make a used one out of a junked Nissan (which stiull would have cost about $50+). I found this on Amazon for next to nothing (it cost a little more than the actual shipping cost) and it arrived on my doorstep within 3 days. With a little alteration that anyone could do I had this installed and working in my ATV in an afternoon. And with the recent snow plowing I've been doing with the Kodiak the fan works far better than the original. This is truly the way to go for anyone looking to replace an electric fan in just about any application. And there are so many different sizes and styles to choose from. I'm starting to look into getting a larger one and installing it on my Dodge Ram 2500 4x4.

I am using the fan to blow air through a transmission cooler. Works great and really helps when 4 wheeling at slow speed. I am planning on getting another one (larger size) to use on my backhoe. It was simple to build a mount for the fan by using a couple pieces of light weight angle iron.

I used this on my 2006 Suzuki eiger 400 4x4 as a cheap replacement cooling fan and was shocked to see a $20 fan perform as good as the OEM $330 fan... My only complaint is that after riding in the water for a little bit the fan now makes a whining noise but still puts and a lot of cold air and has cooled my Atv down when needed

I purchased this fan and switched the blade and polarity to add extra cooling to my add-on transmission cooler. It fit perfectly. It ran well for a couple hours, but now makes a high-pitch squealing sound when running that you can hear inside the vehicle when stopped, but with the windows up and A/C running. It also isn't running as fast as it once was. Hopefully it will be resolved under warranty and the replacement will prove to be better. The 10" version of this fan I purchased alongside this one to improve my car's idle A/C performance is still operating as new (noisy, but no bearing noise).

The CFM rating for this is highly exaggerated. It does blow a fair amount, but nowhere near 500 CFM, but you won't find a fan this small that comes close anyway.

Better than expected. This fan is mounted on my 2005 T660 Arctic Cat snowmobile under the cowling to cool the engine compartment. Prior to the quick installation the sled would over heat in certain conditions. With the 500 CFM cooling fan I can let it idle as long as wanted and it does not trip the overheat sensor..

I used the fan on an oil cooler on my car and it works great - and the price is also great. Some companies list this type fan at $60 to $80 and this one was only $17.
