I love that this shoe horn is adjustable because on those days when it's a little tough to bend over
it really helps that I can extend it. Those of us here who are in better shape use it not extended.
We loved this item so much we ordered another!
As an added bonus the seller has provided some of best and timely customer service I have experienced anywhere.
Not just on Amazon.
Excellent product AND service. Keep up the great work!

Got this in preparation for my husband's knee surgery. He needed something that would make it easier to get his shoes on after surgery and this works well. I wish the actual spoon portion was a bit wider but it works well. It adjusts easily but is still sturdy. It allows him to use it sitting or standing without problems. Shipping was really fast and the seller actually sent an email the morning after we placed the order which I thought was very thoughtful. highly recommend.

This is the BEST shoe horn EVER - disabled or not.

I was diagnosed with cancer in '09 - big surgeries, external and internal radiation, chemo. I then developed severe lung infections due to my compromised immune system. I was on a huge treatment for 11 months, including 6 bags of IV per day. Due to some of the treatments, I developed diabetes and bi-lateral Osteonecrosis. That means I have dead bone in both of my hips. I was in a wheel chair for over 2 1/2 years. I had two hip surgeries this year and am now for the first time in almost 4 years able to put on lace up tennis shoes. My husband or others have always had to help me. Now, many thanks to my new shoe horn, I am able to put on my shoes by myself. I have severe lymphedema due to cancer treatments so my feet are ALWAYS swollen. I have to be on a machine for three hours per day. I use two devices for putting on my socks and thought - I need something to help me with my shoes. What an awesome solution. I'm crying as I write this, it may seem simple to others, but for me, it's a huge step and helps with independence.

Here are some of the features of the shoe horn:
* STURDY - the steal makes it very strong and secure.
* Flexible - I love the adjustable telescope feature - you can use standing up or sitting down or other variables.
* Ease of use - it's just GREAT - my shoes slip right on
* Grip - the grip is strong too - a type of rubber? it is firm, not slippery or anything - very steady
* Hanger - I immediately put up a hook and have my shoe horn hanging by the door for easy use.
* Price - I would have paid TWICE for this product - it is that good. We had a different shoe horn that was plastic - it never worked and it broke!!!! As a disabled person, we need something we can count on to use!!!
* Travel - because of the telescoping feature, it's easy to put this product in your purse, car, etc. I have to bring to some of my Dr. appointments because I have to take off my shoes. What a blessing. Before I had the shoe horn - my dear Dr. had to put my socks and shoes on for me. She's an Angel :-)
* Caretakers - My husband is thrilled with the new shoe horn. I didn't tell him that I had ordered it, and when it came, he said - Honey, Honey - look what we got in the mail from Amazon :-) (being bed ridden for several years, I'm SO GRATEFUL to Amazon - I've done a tremendous amount of my shopping here - always perfect and easy)

Many are suffering with pain, injuries or other afflictions - I have found that it's the little things that help us the most. I know you will LOVE this product.

Blessings to you all :-)

PROFESSIONAL Long Handled Metal Shoe Horn - Personally Adjustable 16" to 31" is a simple item that makes life more comfortable.

The telescoping handle adjusts from 16" to 31" and any number in between (it doesn't lock into place). That way you can use it sitting or standing & adjust it to the height needed. It has been redesigned using stronger stainless steel to address customer complaints about the shoe horn bending too easily & in a addition, the spring has been replaced with a stronger spring. I tried to bend the shoe horn & couldn't. It's as strong as the shoe horns I used 40 years ago...and actually nicer because it's manufactured using stainless steel. There's a fabric loop for hanging.

We've been using it while standing, so we extend the telescopic handle all the way to 31". It took a little getting used to, & we have to hold onto the counter-top to help with our balance. My hubby has a lot of pain caused by Parkinson's Disease; he really appreciates this long-handled shoe horn...now he can put his shoes on without experiencing back pain.

It's lightweight & can be packed in your luggage when traveling.

Anyone with one of these conditions could benefit by using this adjustable, long-handled shoe horn: Pregnancy; Arthritis; Back pain, sciatica & related problems; Mobility issues; Hip & joint replacements; Post operative care; Bending & reach problems.

This is not a weight bearing shoe horn, do not lean on it, use it like a cane or put your full weight on it when putting on your shoes; also, the telescopic handle does not lock.

Highly recommended.

My husband just had surgery to repair a ruptured tendon in his arm and has limited use of his arm right now. This shoe horn has been extremely helpful in getting his shoes on. It is sturdy and well-built and he likes how compact it is when not extended. He just hangs it on his hat rack when it's not in use.
The shoe horn was provided complimentary to me to test and give a review on what we thought of it.

This is a nice shoehorn, and many people still need shoe horns whilst getting into those hardback shoes. The neat thing about this one is that the base, it has moveability, with spring action. This is quite important, having that ability to move the shoehorn comfortably.

The other nice thing is the rubber grip at the top, nice nonslip grip. And, third, I like that it adjusts and places itself back into a storable position. You can adjust it to the size of your frame.

Nice, neat, improved, handy!! Rizzo

I received this at no cost in exchange for writing a review. Here are my comments.

1. The picture on Amazon shows a metal piece directly below the shoe horn that may look solid. It's not. Instead it's a coil that bends when you place the shoe horn into your shoe. I don't like that design. I find it easier to use a shoe horn that remains rigid as opposed to one like this where the shoe horn bends when you insert it into your shoe. I find this more difficult to use that an ordinary rigid shoe horn where I have to bend down to use it.

2. This can be used at different lengths depending on how you adjust the tubes. The concept of sliding tubes is one I'm very familiar with because it's used on the different camera extenders that I own. These tubes are easy to use and so far have not jammed, as sometimes happens. They also stay locked in place.

3. The product looks nice and the directions are attached on a key chain. The shoe horn itself is 5 3/4" long, which is all you need.

Bottom line: If you like a rigid shoe horn, buy something else. But if you don't mind a shoe horn that flexes, then this is worth considering because the quality seems good and it does work.

I am a sufferer of AS and it's hard and getting harder for me to put on my clothes, particularly my shoes and socks. I chose this product to help me with the former as it looks like its made to be durable, the handle is telescopic and the shoe horn itself is bendable, which all makes it adaptable to people with disabilities like me or anyone else who needs the assistance. I also got a personal e-mail thank you from the company that sent it, which was very nice!

This is probably the most advanced shoe horn that I've come across. It is another proof that in the modern innovative economy even the most mundane of products are getting increasingly better, oftentimes in the ways that we would have never anticipated on our own.

There are several features of this shoe horn that make it an exceptionally well made and well designed product:

* High quality metal materials.
* Telescoping handle.
* Flexible and adjustable horn.
* Easy to hold and comfortable hand grip.

All of these features make the process of putting on your shoes significantly easier. This is especially valuable if you have impaired mobility. This shoe horn could really make a difference with at least one of your mundane everyday tasks.
