Editorial Reviews

PROFILES host Mickey Burns interviews television icon Chuck Barris, creator and producer of shows such as "The Dating Game", "The Newlywed Game" and "The Gong Show".

Barris is also the author of several books, including "Confessions of a Dangerous Mind", "The Big Question" and his current release "Who Killed Art Deco?", a contemporary black comedy at its best.

In 1976, Chuck Barris stepped in front of the camera as the ringleader of "The Gong Show", an improvised talent contest exclusively for the "talent-impaired", whose performances were ravaged by judges Rip Taylor, Jaye P. Morgan and Jamie Farr. It lasted two years, and four more in syndication, before an exhausted Barris pulled the plug.

Besides "The Gong Show," Barris may be best known for "Confessions of a Dangerous Mind", his "unauthorized autobiography" in which he reveals his secret life as a CIA hitman. The book was made into a movie starring Julia Roberts, Drew Barrymore, and George Clooney- who also directed the film.

This product is manufactured on demand using DVD-R recordable media. Amazon.com's standard return policy will apply.
