I'd like to re-confirm that this watch CAN switch from metric to imperial units. That means you have the option for measurements to be shown in Fahrenheit and Feet.

**After reading the manual (PRW-3000 watch model # is 3414), if your "home city" is set to TYO (Tokyo), you will NOT be able to switch between Metric and Imperial. This is the only time it is locked (pg E-48 of manual). All you would have to do is change Tokyo to where your actual location is and you can switch units of measurement.

The titanium band feels amazing! The band and watch overall is extremely light, nearly half the weight of my Suunto Ambit2. I bought my watch from Watchlinks and it comes in the wooden box with a very very thick manual in English plus many other languages.

In person, the watch does not have the strong gold tinge that you see in the photo. It's there but it's very slight - for the most part it look like silver/sterling. I'm confident enough to wear it with a black suit.

I just got the watch. Been wearing it for few days now and I may have to say that it is one of the must satisfying experience I have from any watch.

    1. Its awesome capabilities: It can do more than I could ever remember and write in this review.

    2. Excellent user interface: I am getting old and my eye sight is not what it used to be. This watch has big and bold digits presented on a wide screen.

    3. Correct choice of material: The choice of titanium was a very good choice. If this watch is used as advertised, i.e. into the sea and muck, this metal is the most appropriate. It is inert. It does not get affected by seawater at all unlike stainless steel.

    4. Solar charging the way forward: Casio is able to have a product that captures the imagination of the green movement. This makes it a desirable piece.

    5. James Bond styling: Unlike the previous Protreks that look like wrestlers, this current version in more refined. It can even pass as a dress watch.

Thumbs up Casio for designing a winner!!!

The product description incorrectly states that the display units cannot be changed from metric to imperial; they can.

The watch itself is of excellent quality; I really like the feel of the Ti.

This is a great watch. I've used it daily for about two months now. It came very quickly and was new in the box. The watch is much easier to use that I thought for all the features it has. Very easy to read. All the features work very well. The time is always perfect. Note that like all watches of this type, the temperature is only accurate when it is off the wrist and not heated by skin contact. The TI band is great! Much lighter that my previous stainless steel Casio band on another watch and very comfortable. The latch on the band is very secure requiring both a lifting of a cover and then a squeeze of the release As a PLUS, the description of the watch states that "This watch can not switch the unit of measurement, Distance unit :Meter, Temperature unit Celsius" This is WRONG!!!! The unit can be change anywhere excepting in the main Japanese time zone. I live in the US and have it set for feet and degree F.

This is my fourth ProTek and the best one yet.

    Pros:
    Great display
    Love the Sunrise/Sunset
    Very fast and accurate readings
    24 Hr Countdown timer
    Great band
    Very Bright LED backlight

    Cons:
The date doesn't display if you have the Barometric trend on in the main display

NOTE: Contrary to the description the units can be changed for any city except Tokyo. Also, you'll need your longitude and lattitude to set the sunrise and sunset data.

    Pros:
    Surprising light
    Nice design
Can pass as a dress watch
All the bells and whistles and they work

    Cons:
The band can scratch really easily
Links can be a pain to take off
Not sapphire glass, so can be scratched

This is the perfect watch for the outdoor and office person. This is the perfect balance of function and style. I love this watch. The sensors are pretty accurate. I live in Hawaii and it does well in the ocean and its readings are spot on. This is the Japanese version so you will have to download the manuals from Casio for English. This watch has a lot to it and don't get frustrated if you don't get how to use it right away. Just take your time and get to know it and it will be an invaluable tool at your disposal. The only thing this watch doesn't have is a GPS function, if it did then this watch would be the only watch you would ever need. But I can live without that because the battery on this watch plus the solar charger means this will last me forever. Great watch, great functions.

I received this watch for Valentine's day. The titanium is light, strong and a beautiful color that is unlike my other watches. At first the manual is a little intimidating due to its shear size. Once you start reading and calibrating the various watch functions, it's VERY easy to follow. The band adjustment requires some attention because in addition to the pin, there is a little friction sleeve that holds the pin. The sleeve resides in the center tong of the band segment. Be careful not to loose it and it only goes into one side of the tong. The band is extremely adjustable with a full 1/2 and quarter band micro adjustment pin available. I actually had to readjust because after taking it hiking, my wrist expanded a little with the exercise. My only minus comment would be about the compass function. The compass heading is shown in degrees from North. My Tissot has an actual compass needle. As long as you know your circle degrees...you're fine. Great addition to my watch collection and a rugged one that I can wear during activities.
