5.0 out of 5 stars This Expansion Pak Works Perfect, January 23, 2004
This review is from: PS2 8MB Expansion Pak (G7100) (Video Game)
Geeze, you guys and gals who are shooting down this product CLEARLY did not read the packaging or get the hint "EXPANSION". It states AND shows right on the package that this item turns an 8mb memory card into a 16mb memory card. You simply insert your 8mb card into this item and plug it into your memory slot. It is pretty much used for the bigger games like the hunting games and others that take a lot of memory to save situations. So, it is NOT faulty in and of itself (of course faulty units may well be on the market just like everything else), but it works just as it is advertised to. And if you shop here at Amazon, an 8mb memory card is not $25 but can be bought for a much more reasonabe price. And no, I don't work for Amazon or Intec. I shop here for games and books simply because they most always have the best prices.

5.0 out of 5 stars Exactly What I needed, December 5, 2004
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: PS2 8MB Expansion Pak (G7100) (Video Game)
I read the reveiws and don't understand how come people are complaining. It says clearly that you can only use this Item with a sony PS2 8mb memory card. When you use the product in the way it is advertised it doubles your SONY memory cards storage and works with EVERY game I have, including vice city and san andreas, NHL 2005, ace combat, turok, freedom fighters, mortal kombat, bust a move, WRC, grand turismo, and more.
I find it interesting that all the complaints that are in the reveiws are from people who were ignorant of the product description which clearly stated how the product works.

3.0 out of 5 stars Great product, but......., September 26, 2005
= Fun:3.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: PS2 8MB Expansion Pak (G7100) (Video Game)
I picked up several of these on clearance a few months back. They have worked awesome for me with my Sony memory cards. But then the inevitable happened and my old PS2 died on me. Just today, I picked up a new "slim" PS2 and this new system is not seeing the paks when plugged in. The lights on the paks seem to have a pulsing glow to them, like the new smaller system just isn't putting out enough power for even one of them to work. I am rather aggitated over this, but I know the product itself DOES work on the older style PS2's, but apparently not on the "slim" systems.

Take this into consideration when purchasing.
