1.0 out of 5 stars Good customer service, defective product July 28, 2011

Fun: 1.0 out of 5 stars
I have the 80gb PS3 with the 4 USB ports and was excited when I saw that this item's description claimed it was compatible with my specific system. The Menu button (really a PS button) was stuck and kept opening and closing the PS menu repeatedly. I sent in a complaint, which resulted in an apologetic response and a replacement adapter which arrived in less than a week. Plugged it in to my PS3 after attaching it to my favorite PS2 pad, only to find the same error. Another complaint, and another prompt sincere apology, this time accompanied with a pre-paid mailing label to return the two converters as well as the promise of a full refund.

I recommend the seller for their wonderful customer service. I do not recommend this product if you are in the same boat as myself, in terms of specific system in possession.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for PS3, not so much for PC April 23, 2011

Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
I originally bought this to play Stepmania on PC with my Konami dance pad.
I knew it said PS3 adapter on the title, but it turns out that it actually does get recognized on pc, but it takes a while to work out the kinks.

BUT... for ps3, it worked like a charm. All I had to do was turn on my ps3, plug it in, and press the menu button and I was playing COD4 with a dance pad in no time!!! HAHA, anyway...

Summary: Great adapter for getting your PS2 dance pad to your PS3!

I assume that regular ps2 controllers also work on this adapter, but I haven't tested it.

5.0 out of 5 stars IT WORKS!!!! March 28, 2011

Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
I have been looking for a converter for the dance pad for 2 years. I originally had one that would not work and I could not get it to work. Then I heard that they were coming out with a DDR for the PS3 and assumed that the dance pad would work with the older PS2 games if you had a backwards compatible PS3. Sadly I was wrong. Then I decided to give this converter a try before I just decided to trade in my DDR game. It worked. I just got done playing and the converter works perfectly. There does not seem to be any lag and doing two arrows at the same time does work. I've read reviews for this product that says that it doesn't work so maybe it is the system, pad and game I'm using it with. Just in case I'm using the 80 gig PS3 with 4 USB ports. I was playing DDR supernova 2 with the dance pad that came with the bundle. I just wanted to let anyone know that from what I can tell the product works and works well.

2.0 out of 5 stars Works, but poorly crafted and a bit pricey October 19, 2012

Fun: 4.0 out of 5 stars
I bought this product a few months ago. Compared to other PS2/PS3 adapters I've bought, this one actually works with my 40GB PS3 and my PS2 dance pad. I tried using it again and it did not light up (the lights blink like when a regular controller when it's is on). Opened it up and found some of the wires were not properly soldered in right. Two of the wires snapped off their points when I checked their connections, barely even had to pull on them. Some connections had a large amount of solder on them while other had barely any.

I would buy another one, but the price is a bit much for me as well. Other sites have the same product for ~$20; I would rather use that money to buy a new dance pad if that's the case, but my ~8 year old dance pad still works.

I'm glad I found a product that works, but the price is a bit steep for something that's fragile.

I was using it too hook up a dance pad to a PC and it was working great. After owning it for about two months it just stopped working, I tried different usb ports to see if it was the usb port that was the issue, no luck.
Pros: It worked for two months
Cons: It stopped working for no apparent reason after two months.

5.0 out of 5 stars Finally, a Ps2 to ps3 converter that works! March 4, 2011

Finally - a PS2 to PS3 dance pad converter that works. Yes, combinations work great; pressing two directional buttons at the same time register properly and quickly. Other adapters only recognized one directional button at a time. Tested with DDR Extreme with the included DDR dance mat on an 80GB PS3 with software backwards compatible.

4.0 out of 5 stars One Solid Converter! June 29, 2014

I have this product set up with a 60 GB PS3 and a Cobalt Flux dance pad, and it works nearly perfectly! Having this for more than a week, the only problem that I encountered was that occasionally, the converter would fail to recognize the dance pad when I booted up my DDR game (DDRMAX, for those wondering); however, when I re-plugged the dance pad, it would work just like normal! Also, one quirk I noticed in my setup is that if I pressed the up arrow whilst simultaneously attempting to do a soft reset on the control box (start+select), it acts as if the menu button on the converter is pressed.

1.0 out of 5 stars Does not adapt cobalt flux DDR pads to ps3 correctly.
This adapter won't correctly adapt the Cobalt Flux ddr pads to the PS3. The PS3 game recognizes it as a controller, not a dance pad.
