This is a fantastic beginner bow for both adolescents and adults. Being a 60" bow it's a "full size" bow, NOT a toy! I bought this to have a loaner bow for those times when bow-less friends wanted to go out shooting with me. It's extremely forgiving and has accommodated every archers draw length to use it. Personally, I have a 30" draw which should put this bow at about 25-27# It consistently sinks arrows deep into my Field Logic Black Hole Archery Target Bh 18 target, and will bury an arrow to the fetching in a double reinforced cardboard box at 20 yards.

The accessories that come with this bow are decidedly low-rent items. I recommend replacing both the included arrow rest and the string nock with better quality items. The only real downside to this bow is its aesthetics. Some might find the 100% molded composite construction a bit off putting. Honestly it does lend an air of cheapness to the bow, but I can assure you that it's totally solid.

If you're looking for a beginner bow in this price range, but want something that isn't fully molded, look to the Barnett Outdoors 1123 Buck Commander Sportflight Recurve Archery Set. It's also a 60" bow with a draw weight in the 20's but has a more upscale riser with fiberglass limbs attached.

If you are thinking about trying archery and don't have a lot of money I would suggest buying this bow.It has a light drawback weight so it is easy to practice form but i think it is meant for children. Regardless buy this if you are thinking archery. It's also very strong and almost indestructible!

I am a college student (still beginner) who loves this recurve bow. I always thought it might be fun to buy one, so I could train up and see if I liked shooting. I wanted a large bow because I am after all a college student, not a middle school kid. However I still wanted a light/medium draw weight and a basic design because I was just a beginner. Also being a college student I did not have a great deal of resources to spend. This Recurve Bow fit the bill perfectly for me! It was just about $50 dollars for me which meant I didn’t have to pour in hundreds of dollars, the draw weight was low enough that I could get fully powered shots ten times in a row before getting tired, and the basic design was really nice. My cousin shoots it sometimes and he is a fourth-grader, this bow is great for any beginner between fourth grade up to 22 years old or so. Warning, don’t try to hunt with is bow, it is not nearly powerful enough to take down prey. I highly recommend this to anyone who is even remotely interested in Recurve Bows. I still shoot mine ever weekend. Great buy!

Perfect bow for my daughter to explore archery. Arrow rests don't stay on very well, but I just used that as a reason to teach how to shoot off the shelf. No complaints, stick and a string that flings arrows.

This bow is a good value for the price. It is tough as nails and reasonably easy to tune. It has a surprisingly smooth draw and doesn't stack until after a 30" draw. Once tuned and with a good string it shoots as better than PSE's Razor Back Jr, and almost as good as the PSE Razor Back 62". Once tuned this bow is a great way to teach and learn instinctive archery for youth and adults.

The arrow rest is a cheapy $2.00 stick on model, but is reasonably durable and doesn't ruin feather fletchings. The string appears to be a Dacron endless loop and the serving is a too small diameter letting the arrow nocks attached to the string but easily slide down the string. The thin unpadded brass string nock supplied is useless.

Victory Ares/Venus 500 or 600 spine arrows with a 100 grain field point at full length (29") work well with a 28" draw. With a D-97 Flemish twist string and 330 grain arrows the bow chronographs at about 140 fps, finger released, with a 28" draw and 128 fps with the supplied string.

This bow is made by Arc-Rolan for PSE. They recommend an 18.5z cm to 19.5 cm (7 to 8 inch) brace height.

I highly recommend using feather fletched arrows with this bow, as vanes cause erratic shot placement. I also recommend getting a Flemish twist string to more easily tune the brace height and a set of good string nocks. A $20 string and the nocks make this bow perform as well as a bows 3 to 4 times the price.

There's a tad bit of residue on the top where the packaging is, but I easily removed it with nail polish remover using a cotton ball and my nails. Of course, since this is my first bow it took me a while to string it (as I was confused and scared to break it) but it turns out to be really flexible. (Although you may need someone to pull the string up as you bend and hold down the bow to string it)
It seems super big, but really is the perfect size when the string is on. It has a 22 pound pull weight and is easy (for someone with like, poor upper arm strength)
I'm 5'7" and it comes up to my chin.
Anyways, I've posted pictures so you can get the jist of it ^-^ (I also posted before & after pics of the removal of the sticky residue)
