This bow is strong and very well made.
M. Louise
It took some inspection, but I discovered the top limb was cracking all the way through the fiberglass at the lamination point!

I would recommend this bow to anyone looking to explore recreational, family archery.

I this bow for about a month now and I works quite nice and a lot lighter than compound bows. Mine is the 35' version and its powerful enough to stick arrows 3ft inside a frozen bale of hay from 20 yards. I think the other reviewer is mistaken because the PSE bow I received was manufactured in Tucson, Arizona, USA. Easy to take down and string without even needing a bow stringer. The only thing I noticed that was a bit low quality was the plastic pieces in between the limbs and the riser. Could have been aluminium which would have been far better quality, but all the rest of the parts are good. I put a stabilizer and sight on mine and greatly improved accuracy. Would also recommend a release for even better accuracy. It has less range than a compound bow but its a whole lot more fun to shoot.

I purchased this Bow a few days ago from a local dealer, I had never shot a recurve bow before, The light draw makes it very easy to shoot for a hour with no problems. The take down screws are solid and the limbs a wood laminate.

My only complaint is the bright white limbs and large product stickers under the lacquer.

Great bow! I haven't done any sort of archery since my time in the boy scouts about 10 years ago so I'm by no means an expert. I picked up this beauty at a local dealer and have been shooting it for about an hour now. The local vendor added a couple of things to the string like a vibration dampener and a knocking point. So far great bow, lots of fun, pretty accurate. I like that you can take it down to transport and store it. All around I think it's a great product for the price. Get it and have fun.

I am fairly new to archery, however being the person I am I would not settle for any less than 35lbs draw weight in my first bow. I was considering getting a more powerful bow, but decided against it; I purchased this bow primarily because I have begun training myself in mounted archery, and this is great. It's draw weight is probably at the upper limit for most new shooters, but keep working at it and you will build up the muscles.

Pros:
Easy to take apart - the limbs connect to the riser with one large screw each that does not even require a screwdriver to insert.
A high quality riser, by the way, although they all should be high quality.
Comes with a fine string - the only problems I have found is that after a while you start to wear away at the string where your arrows are nocked. Although really, this only helps, because you can always see where to put the nock.
Is a recurve - I mean come on. Those compounds are just cheating. Recurve bows have that awesome look to them!

Cons:
It does not come with anything more than the parts of the bow and the string. You will need to buy a bow stringer, arrows, a glove(if you want - a gardening glove will work just as well as an archery glove),and a target. When getting arrows, you really should not get anything smaller than 30" arrows, and even I occasionally draw the arrowhead back past the riser and I have to flip the arrow around to line up again.
The screws use dry lubricant. You won't need to worry about getting grease all over yourself, however, take care to not drop them. I accidentally dropped a screw in sand, and it all got stuck in the threads. Thankfully, I had a water bottle on-site and had the screw cleaned in no time.

I purchased this bow from another national outdoorsman store less than a week ago. I've shot less than 200 arrows at a target in my backyard using 30" Easton Genesis II arrows (which I love). I use a bow stringer so the limbs have never been abused. After firing 25 or 30 arrows this afternoon I heard an odd sound while drawing back. It took some inspection, but I discovered the top limb was cracking all the way through the fiberglass at the lamination point! Until this afternoon I would have said that the bow is a great value, especially for somebody learning and not looking to hunt (mine has a 30# draw), but now I wonder about the brand quality. The other reviews have all been high, so maybe this is a fluke or the maple had a hidden defect, but I'll have to think carefully about whether I'll get a replacement or look for another bow.
