Excellent bow, if you aren't familiar with snap shooting you soon will be. Great for shots at speedy fish. The variable draw lengths let you decide how hard you want to shoot fish. All in all great bow especially for the money. Very durable. Built to last.

Bought this instead of PSE Elation as this is exactly the same bow except the color (TW is significantly cheaper). I Have it set up with Cavalier Free Flight Micro Arrow Rest to practice finger release in my back yard.

I like recurve bow, and do not enjoy let off I feel with regular compound, So No let-off on this Bow is a blessing. Allowing my friends to shoot in the back yard while I practice my recurve is also great as I don't have to worry about draw length. (or my recurve over-bowing them)

Adjustability from 30lb to 40lb on one bow is very Economical.

If I want to concentrate on my form and release, then I go waaay down to 30lb and examine my shot sequence slowly and hold the position for anchor and check the posture in mirror. If I want to shoot all day, I change it to 35lb and have fun. If I want to feel fast arrow flight and straight cast, with huge punch! then I bring it up to 40lb (I don't have to over-work my small muscles, and I can still practice finger release at near my recurve poundage).

If I try to do that(30/35/40) with Samick takedown, 3 sets of limb alone would be more than the cost of this single bow. Forget ILF or higher end limbs.

My method is most likely unorthodox and will not win a smile from traditional "purists", but I can honestly say it has helped improve my shots with recurves.

I will also add that penetration into Morrell Yellow Jacket target at 30lb setting is deeper by 2 inchs than my 45lb recurve with same arrow ( tuning with flight arrow rest make it easier to re-use the arrow to shoot straight at different weight setting), which is kinda fun.

Could you do the same with 40lb Discovery 2? Possibly althogh as I write this, I believe adjustability on Discovery 2 is 4 turns.
TD allows for 6 turns and gives more options.
