I've owned one of these combs for over 10 years. I'm getting another one after that long, I don't NEED a new one, just want to get one in case they are ever no longer available. I use this for my long hair Persians. It doesn't pull their hair, the teeth rotate... so it's gentle on the fur. It also is good at getting out snarls. When my cats hear me pick up the comb (since the teeth rotate, the comb rattles slightly) they come running! I highly recommend this for a pet with longer hair.
