What I like: when closed it is like armor for my PSP. The instructions for the charge part are really poor, but it's easy enough to figure out. The speakers are not very powerful, however if you just want to be able to listen to your music or watch a movie or video hands free it's great. It works in situations where you have to be considerate of others. So perfect for dorms, or shared living enviroments.
What I don't like: If you have fingers of steel, and break things easily, then don't buy this. If it's for a clumsi or young child, don't do it. The plastic frame that holds the PSP doesn't sit well, it can be tricky to line up the two connectors. One wrong push when placeing the PSP on the stand and opps it's gone. The latch to have the PSP tilt at a viewable angle is also plastic and only supports one side so again a little delicate.

First off this sound dock is a bit bigger than I thought it would be.
which isn't really such a big problem really..
The plastic is not high quality, but I'd say it's acceptable.
The sound though.. is not really too impressive.
The release slide was kind of a let down, if they had springs that would automatically pop the dock up it would be nice.

I saw another review commented about not using the UMD slot so i tried it out.
seriously DONT USE IT! My umd craked thanks to this...
it seemed that the umd slot is quite shallow and they didn't include enough space for it. so if u put ur psp onto the dock and have the umd underneath, if you push the dock down u'll find that you can't pull it back up.
At least not without a considerable amount of strength. The tip of my umd was blocking the dock from coming up due to not enough space.
As I forced it up my umd craked.
Oh well at least I choose to test it on a game a rarely played.

Anyhow, it seemed intec doesn't even test it's products with real umd and psps.

They might as well have made the umd slot into memory card slots to hold my movie memory cards.

I have a new PSP 3000 and when I received my sound dock one of the bottom panels kept falling off and I couldn't get the sound to work at all. I sent it back for replacement (by the way amazon did an awesome and quick job replacing it). The second one I got didn't work either. I had to play with how the PSP is seated in the dock. It has to be cock-eyed/ with the right side half in half out. So it kinda works. However it still periodically turns off. So you will have to switch it off and then on. Sometimes it only happens every 15 min, sometimes its every 2 min. Also its not very loud at all. It does look kinda cool and might work better with a older PSP version. If your looking into getting this product, I would just skip it and get some decent mini computer speakers.

Just got this yesterday but am already loving it.Before use you must charge it-comes with about 15min power out of the box. After the initial charge
you can watch movies on the go or play games.The front has 2 slider doors
revealing headphone jacks and power ports. My only concern is when the
4 hr charge dies so would the case.Sience your psp adaptor can power it the speakers shouldn't need to use the battery enless away from either ac / dc
outlets. Like i said i just picked it up so if after more use i find out it always draws from the case power adaptor or not i'll amend the review.
It even has rubber on the case so it doesn't slide/scratch stuff up.
Weight's modest but that's just great build quality-even has room enough for an extra umd under the slim itself,which would have a umd in the tray. Best slim case avaible and reasonablly priced. Inital charge was
awile but usuially the 1st charge is 2wice or more long than subsiquent
charges whether psp,ipod or powered case. You can even use other audio devices on it with an audio in and a seperate headphone jack.As for power
there's a input and output so when gaming you can string a cord,included,from the case to the psp and an audio cord,also included,from psp back to the case-like most all psp speakers you'll need
your own psp power pack but if you own a psp that's no troubble.

D-O-N-T use the umd slot under the hinge as even without a psp in the hinge it locked up and didn't want to come up as it does with no game in the space marked umd. I don't know why this happens but since all you really need are game cases it a relitivelly moot point. In every other way this case performs:protection,extra juce,anti-sliding surface and extra powered speakers.

BOTTOM LINE-TRAVEL+PSP SLIM=NEED THIS CASE!!

a very good speaker, at first did not understand very well how it was running, but when the law PROSEDE manually and as is shown, and come to play up to 15 days straight without putting load my psp is amazing! the internal battery of the PSP and make it overly long duration very good product!

If you own a PSP you MUST have one of these awesome speakers. It is like having surround sound. I am so happy that I made this purchase.

I was very excited to have a protective case for my PSP that could also double as an movie view stand with the bonus of extra speakers so I can hear the film properly. I had a similar product for the PSP1000 model that I wish would work with the newer slimmer PSP2000 or 3000 models. When I received the dock, The first thing I noticed was the large crack across the entire bottom of the product. I know you are thinking " that could have happened in shipping!" That is an reasonable assumption. However the packing boxes ( box in a box for protection ) Had no damage whatsoever. The boxes looked just about as new as the day they were packed. Now the next problem is forgivable, I can understand that the two versions of the slim PSP's look so much alike that you could assume the product will work.But that is only if you think assumptions are o.k. for product descriptions. The jacks on the two models are at least a 1/4 of an inch apart as well as a different size. ( there is a small chip type jack next to the standard headphone jack For volume, forward, reverse, pause, etc...) HOWEVER, A google search of the difference between the two would have pointed this out. It seems the Americans have just become extremely lazy.

I was skeptical about this item to begin with but I must say that this thing is amazing. The sound isnt the loudest but it is high quality. I was playing a game using it the other night and my fiance came in and said "wow, that actually sounds nice". He usually complains about speakers and is very critical. It also doubles as a nice case to keep your psp in. You would have to spend at least $10 for a case otherwise, when with this item, you are getting a case and a speaker system in one for not much money. I would highly recommend this item!

Cons: Back side doesn't lock into any position other than all the way back
Sound isn't stellar
UMD Holder underneath PSP is NOT to be used, felt too dangerous.

Price is a bit high, but it's a good product for someone who travels and needs the extra juice.
