5.0 out of 5 stars PSP Charger Grip

It's a must have. The PSP should almost have been made with it.

I know a lot of you will be thinking "But if I get this, how can it still be called a Potable Playstation?"

Well, yes it will be less portable, but it's still worth it.

My game play has actually improved.

It's a must have. The PSP should almost have been made with it.

I know a lot of you will be thinking "But if I get this, how can it still be called a Potable Playstation?"

Well, yes it will be less portable, but it's still worth it.

My game play has actually improved.

Your hands don't cramp up as much.

It's actually feels a lot like the PS2 controller. Even when it's attached, it will feel almost the same. The handles are thicker than the PS2 controller but it still feels great in your hands.

It has a rechargeable external battery in the handle. Extra battery life, yay.

You really won't need the strap anymore. You can leave it on with no problems. I used mine to hold on to when playing a game. I don't need it anymore.

You can slide it open and closed, but the arms that hold the PSP in is what obstructs its portability. It should have been made with arms that you can fold in. Then you could put in in your pocket.

It doesn't feel very sturdy but it won't break if you "get into" your games. It will last for some time.

It does block a lot of the headphone tips. If you have headphone with a head that doesn't look like a "L", it won't fit.

It's very easy to put in but a little tricky to take out. Here's a tip: To take out your PSP, take your 2 index finger and push the back of the PSP. At the same time, carefully lift the 2 arms with your thumb. It will pop out with no problem. I have to mention again that the arms DO NOT bend, so be careful.

In order to change disks, you have to take it off. Yes, it's a bit of a pain but it worth it.

It will take some time to get used to. You will kind of have to learn the controller again but it will only take a half an hour or so to get right back where you were. But it will make a world of difference in your game play. Game are just easier to play with it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Big persons PSP life savor, March 20, 2007
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: PSP Charger Grip (Video Game)
To be honest I didn't like the PSP when I first got it. All it was good for is MP3's since I am six five and have huge monkey hands. Playing a game was impossible, since my hands would cramp and hurt after 10 minutes playing the darn thing. However when I heard of this product I picked it up, (since it was cheap) and figured I'd give it a try. To my delight I found that the PSP charger grip made the PSP more comfortable and didn't make my hands cramp. Sure the PSP is less portable, by in my case it saved my PSP from the pages of ebay. It feels a bit flimsy when you are playing, but it hasn't failed me yet. The extra five hours of play is a huge bonus too. All in all, if you are a large person, I highly recommend this product, it basically turns the uncomfortable PSP into an extremely comfortable PS2 controller.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great, December 30, 2005

This add on is pretty nice. I have yet to discover how long the add on battery actually lasts, but I'm sure I will soon. The only bad thing about the thing is how the grips will move a little if you try to, making it feel like your PSP is less secure, though, it pretty much is. That's what the other reviewers have been refering to as "flimsy". If you want an add on battery, I would definately get this, or the power brick.

NYKO should of made them either spring enforced so as to bend.

The grips work great. They make gaming with the PSP very comfortable for adult-sized hands. The battery simply doesn't work or I'd give this a 5-star rating.

4.0 out of 5 stars Pretty cool product, June 10, 2007
= Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: PSP Charger Grip (Video Game)
I bought this because holding the PSP for hours caused some hand cramping. I really like this product and the extra battery life is a big plus. My only complaints are the face plates won't work with these unless you use a dremel to notch tabs in the removable faceplate (not the PSP). That complaint is for the faceplate though and not this product. My other complaint is that the tabs that hold the PSP to it are a bit bulky, obtrusive and easy to break. Also, it does not help in portability but it has a battery in it so what can you ask for? For what it is and what it costs, it's worth it. Adds to the comfortability factor and extra battery are the true shining points to this product. Buy it. But look around because it's cheaper elsewhere.

It doesn't really help like it should. The PSP keeps falling out and eventually the piece that's suppose to lock it in broke. I don't like this product

Although I havent used this one yet , its a christmas present , I myself bought another on but same brand about 4 years ago.
I broke my wrist years ago so this adds a better angle so now I can play for longer than a half hour without my wrist hurting.
Battery life was great. It added some needed extra hours but since I never play for hours on end I couldnt tell you exactly how long it lasted but it did extend the time alot.
It does heat up pretty good when you chrage it so you will need to let it cool before you throw it in a closed case or use it for game play.
The tabs that hold the PSP in are thin but since Im not 12 I know how to gently put my PSP in and take it out so I havent had them break in the years Ive owned it.

Great item makes the PSP way more comfortable to handle. It even works well with the PSP-1000. The only gripe is that mine had a bit defective battery pack where I have push and shake the power adapter into the slot to make it charge.

5.0 out of 5 stars I got one just like with but without the extra battery charger option., September 6, 2007

I got a model that looks just like this but made by a different company I believe. It doesn't have the battery built into it. Although I really haven't had the chance to play with mine yet but it does feel comfortable in you hand. Mind you I am a 6'3" man. Mine also works with my Logitech Visor so that is a bonus. Overall I am satisfied so far with this product. I will write back if I change my mind on that.
