This cable works perfect right out of the box. Warning: you can't play games on the TV with this device, but that's PSP fault.

If you've been thinking about getting this for your PSP, don't hesitate! This is a great bargain on an item that is exactly like the one you'd get at Best Buy. Works great. Just remember to hold down your video button for at least 5 seconds so that the picture gets transferred from the PSP to the television screen. And this cable will NOT work for games, only video and photos.

Product was same as US cable, just in Japanese packaging. Works just like US cable. Will NOT allow you to display video games on a TV though. You need the component video cable for that. This cable allows you to display movies though.
