Yes it's from SONY's Playstation site. It's new, they finally succumbed to the pressure that it SHOULD have been included in the first place with the PSP. I have an XP, it works great for transferring video and music. You don't need it for transferring games/demos.

I bought this when i first got my PSP. You really dont need it. You can just drag and drop any thing you want with windows. Plus you can now download Media Manager 3.0 from the website for free. The 3.0 version is much much better (I actually use it sometimes) and you can even download from the playstation store directly through your media manager - making it very very easy. It is not a horrible product by any means but its a waste of money - just go download the new and improved one for free.

When Sony unveiled the PSP a few years ago, they definitely made it easy for hard core gamers to take their favorite games like God Of War: Chains Of Olympus, and Loco Roco. But, what Sony has also made for the system that has been dominant is the ability to playback movies and your media files. That comes into play very well with the PSP Media Manager. This software which works well with your computer is easy to use, and helps you manage your media files, and transfer your music files and your favorite movies to your PSP system. It is easy to setup, and works very nicely with setting up your favorite media files to your PSP memory card. So, if you're really a hard core PSP owner, than I really recommend this to expand your PSP horizons to the beat of your drum.
