I use these with my PSP...,

I was impressed with these headphones for a few different reasons.
The first thing I noticed was these headphones fit around the back of your head instead of over the top. They sqeeze together a bit which, combined with thier fitting form factor, makes the Mod stay on your head. The Mod comes with a replacement set of the soft covers that go over the speakers, just incase something happens. You also have your choice of ear fitters (for lack of better word). You can have it so the ear pices fit over the top of your ears, similar to how some ear buds work; or you can remove those and put on the comfort fitters which dont have the loop that goes over the top of your ear. The Mod fits around the back of your head, but it does it in a way that is unobtrusive. You can even lay down without the feeling of something jamming into the back of your head. The best part of these puppies are the sound quality. I put one of my favorite tracks in and did some testing. The sound from the MOD comes out crisp and clear. It sounds full and rich and really sounds great. The PSP's official ear buds sound very tiny in compairison. Too much high end and a lot of upper frequence distortion. The Mod has none of those issues. It has a really smooth rich sound. I notice (or think I do) a difference between using the Mod with the PSP and using the Mod with the Remote and the PSP. I think the remote adds a bit of high-end distortion. I put my remote and ear buds away and I probably wont get them out any time soon.

Comfortable, Great Sound,

I'm not a kid, I have an Adult-size head and this fits great, they stay put and you can move them easily in adjusting to your ear. They rest half inch from my neck without touching or hindering my comfort. You can slide them down and they rest around your neck like a half horseshoe (I use them with my ipod and my DS too) I HATE EARBUDS, they hurt my ears... this item is great for anyone that hates earbuds like me.... I listen to full movies on PSP with these and the sound is clear and rich.

Look good until you try to put them on,
This review is from: PSP PlayGear Mod Headphones (Electronics)
I was looking forward to some great sound with these headphones but there are several problems:
1) these are around the neck headphones - not over the head and they are not adjustable so they stick out the back. They dont sit comfortably and those comfort rings dont seem to help 2) if they manage to fit your head, once you put them on they sound crap. they are fine in the middle frequenceis but upper frequencies are not impressive and they are missing alot of sound in the lower freqs The only thing these headphones have going for them is that they look like they are made sturdy and look cool. But since they dont fit me nor sound good they are going back.

I seen the other reviews for this and think some are true and some are false. They do fit comfortable behind the head, and do sag downward to you neck and dont stand straight like you see in the pictures. The sound is really nice. very rich, deep, and soft music depending on what you are playing. the wire from the headset to the PSP, goes behind the left ear and drops down where it is hardly in your way. I would say the wire it self it a bit over 2 feet long. The sound is nice, but maybe its just me but could be a little bit louder. It is loud enough to hear every detail, but I do not hear the power of a song when it is a bit low. Then again it could be me because i use to use those headphones where i put directly in the hear, and those might have ruin my hearing a bit, lol...these are a really good set of headphones to get no matter what you are buying it for.

Pros
- Single plastic piece makes it look slick and futuristic. - Fits very well with glasses. - Sound quality crisp and clear. - Comes with extra ear pads and detachable comfort rings for extra secure fit. Cons - Single plastic piece making it non-adjustable and can be uncomfortable for some users. - Bit weak on low range. - Since the headpiece is made from a single plastic piece, if you're not careful THE HEADPHONE WILL SNAP AT THE BACK. The last con is a total deal breaker. Basically when you stretch the earphone apart to put it over your head you're putting stress on the back part of the headphone. It works fine for a while so I'm guessing the 5 star reviews were written within a month after purchase and use. After a few weeks it snaps in half if you're not careful. Also because it's a single plastic piece it's not safe to shove the headphones in your bag to carry around which was also a pain.

OK, so the price is great, but there is a Home Depot a few blocks from my house. Therefore, I didn't need to order these headphones online if I wanted to know what it felt like to put my head in a vice. After wearing these headphones for a few hours my ears hurt a great deal from being forced against the side of my head. So much for all the promises of comfort in the product description.
Overall though, the headphones do deliver great sound with only a slight amount of distortion with higher pitch sounds. I just started using the headphones so I've yet to discover whether they are as easily broken as stated by some of the other reviewers. My guess is they break due to the constant readjustment to keep the headphones from collapsing ones skull.

I have tried dozens of headphones for my IPod and these are by far the best. The sound is clear and crisp and they beat headphones costing $100 for comfort.

Good thing the headphones weren't very expensive ... Since there was nothing particularly memorable about them.
