Finally, the case I've been looking for.,

This is the best PSP case for a mature gamer. I'd like to rate this on a few levels.
1. Utility. This case holds the PSP, 3 UMDs and 4 memory sticks. I wish it held more UMDs and less memory sticks. I have 3 games and only one memory stick (it's in the unit). Perhaps music or movie fans would have multiple memory sticks, but the room for them seems to make the case too large. The pretty clear plastic top of the case seems to serve no real purpose other than making the case longer since it extends over each side considerably. Since this case requires you to remove the PSP to play it, it is probably not the best for a child unless he/she is particularly responsible about putting things away. There are plenty of other cases that stay on the unit while it's being played so it is protected. Since it's a hard case it is easy to pull out of a backback or other luggage. It also comes with a clip that allows you to attach it to the outside of a bag to provide immediate accessibilty. If you want to carry around more than one UMD or memory stick and are mature enough to return your unit to the case when you are done playing: this it the case for you. Otherwise, check out the Logitech Playgear Pocket. 2. Style. I needed a case that I could pull out on a business trip without looking like a child to my work colleagues. This case looks very modern, but mature. This case is quality. When you open it you know it was well designed and purpose built. It is made of solid, well put-together plastic. If the quality of a case is important to you, then this is the case for you unless you can afford a custom leather case which cost more than 3 games. 3. Durability. I've had the case for over a week and I expect the clear plastic to scratch a little. I feel like I can treat the case fairly rougly because it seems so well made and how well protected the PSP is inside. I expect this case to outlast my PSP.

... for the weight, I'd rather just take my entire PSP setup in my leather Core Gamer case. If I'd known this thing was going to be this heavy, I'd have passed entirely or gotten the neoprene zipper case that my kids have. I wanted something that would clip onto a belt loop, which this certainly does, but at the expense of nearly ripping it off. The weight of the case by itself is absurd, as heavy as my Nyko Theater Experience unit, which certainly has more perks.
Yes, it's well-lined and nicely padded. Yes, the four Memory Stick slots are nice (especially since I have that many). Yes, it's nice to carry a few UMD's around with you on short outings. But for my money, it just doesn't come close to the Core Gamer case, which holds everything including my Nyko Theater Experience unit (which, in turn, keeps my PSP safe and secure in its brushed aluminum housing with its very nicely padded, flocked interior), charger, UMD cleaner, UMD laser cleaner, headphones, headphone remote, headphone extension, external brick battery and clip-on unit for the PSP, 10 UMD's, four memory sticks, and ridiculous numbers of cleaning cloths. I'm sure one of my kids will wind up with the Playgear Street case. It's just not my bag.

I purchased this because I thought it would be an easy way to listen to music on my PSP while running. However, trying to wear the thing "messenger bag" style, the unit shakes up and down while running and is just annoying. Otherwise, it will be nice to have my PSP and a few games all in one place if I'm traveling.

The PlayGear Street is a nice sturdy case. It is a hardened plastic case with what appears to be a rubberized foam core. Im pretty sure that it will protect your PSP from signifigant shock. I bought the case thinking I could take advantage of my PSP as an mp3 player when I go running. Which worked so-so. The only comfortable way to strap it down is across your chest. You can strap it behind your back, messenger bag style, but it tends to bounce and if your running for distance its going to get old quick. So your really stuck with it strapped across your chest. Which ends up feeling like your wearing a bullet-proof vest with a trauma plate. Again, not all that comfortable. At this point im looking at a camelback with all of the storage pouches, then I can have my water and my tunes.
To summarize The good: sturdy construction, media storage, will protect your PSP from signifigant shock. The bad: uncomfortable, bulky, heavy.

I absoutely love having this case. If my PSP isn't charging or being played it's in this case. It gives me piece of mind knowing that it's in there because it would take a force of nature to damage my sweet little PSP while it was inside there. With the many ways this thing can be worn and it protective power I'd say this thing is a must have for any PSP owner.

I thought this would be nice for my daughter because she likes wearing sling backpacks and purses. This item can be worn like a sling it is not small and it is bulky but it does hold the PSP secure and has room for 3 games and 4 memory sticks. My daughter loves this case on the other hand my son did not like this case instead he got the Play Gear Pocket he really likes this one for him.

I bought this right after I got my new PSP slim, I mainly wanted it for its carrying options and ability to run headphones into the case while wearing your psp making it a decent way to have music on the go. However once I got the case although it makes for a great case with tons of storage options and seems quite durable, the design differences between the 1000 (fat) and 3000 (slim) psp's make its cut out for the headphone jack useless and it also has a little bit of wiggle in the case due to the difference in size. I still like this case, although it's a little big but I really like the storage for all the memory cards and UMDs I just wish that they would plainly mark products like this when they are specific to a certain model of a variable device.

I got the PlayGear Street while in training for a deployment in 2008. It was worth every penny. It kepy my PSP protected from the bumps and hits that can often happen to military gear as you transport it all over the AOR. It also seals tight, so no sand (the stuff was everywhere, even indoors) got in. To accomplish this, I simply put a piece of black electrical tape over the "speaker" hole.
Also, to those who have an issue with no place to put the charger, I simply turn my PSP upside down (the fit is a little tight, as it's ot designed for it to go in this way) and charge it overnight. The only thing I would improve is storage. I copy what others have said, in that I only have one or two memory sticks, but several UMDs. More UMD storage would be a definate plus, but I have a storage case for mine now. I'm heading back downrange in a few months, and will be taking my PGS with me once again!

This is a GREAT case for your new PSP! Holds 3 games and 2 memory sticks. Also comes with a carrying strap if you are on the move. To be honest, its quite a stylish looking case for the PSP. Your PSP is held snug in place in some sort of molded rubber that seems like its shock absorbing. If anyone is familiar with PELICAN brand cases, you know what I mean. Seriously, this case is very sturdy, opens easily, and fits your UMD's very nicely. A solid, well made product. Alot of my buddies here have cases for their PSP's and everyone comments on how nice this one is. A nice case for storing/toting your psp around in. GET THIS CASE!!
