I got this case precisely because it has swing-out grips that make it way easier for someone with large paws like me to hold on to the PSP. It makes it way easier to manipulate the buttons and eliminates the thumb cramp I would sometimes get by just holding the PSP. Plus, it's a hard shell, so transporting the PSP is relatively safe and easy.

Downside: the clear plastic shell scratches way too easily, so I have to flip the lid open when I play, which doesn't really even amount to a nuisance, but it is aesthetically bothersome.
