I was skeptical at first but I was suprised of the quality of the games and videos. Darker games and movies will give a little more trouble than others but other than that its good.

This device was worth every penny. I got this months ago at a very cheap price on ebay. I was a little effy about it fearing it wouldnt live up to my standards. Well it did. Having the experiance of playing my psp games and watching my UMD movies on the big screen, oh ya, its worth it. And all the downloadec content i have on my psp as well as browsing the internet. Its not like the new psp 2000 av cable where it just takes up a small portion of your tv. This device takes up all of your tv as if you are watching a widescreen dvd movie. The only problem is you have to adjust the brightness to your desire when watching movies. Also the mirror on the inside of the device gets dusty easily.

This adapter is for the PSP 1000 (AKA Phat) Not for the newer PSP 2000 or 3000 (AKA PSP Slim). The PSP slim are newer and support a video out cable which is a lot better than this item just do some research on the wire that you buy because some won't allow you to play on tv, they'll just allow you to watch pictures and other things.

Well, I was just sitting where you are not too long ago woundering if it was really worth buying any of the psp tv adapters after hearing a lot of negative reviews and some few good reviews for these types of items. I really wanted to be able to play my psp on the T.V. set so I looked around for one of these and stumbled over the Nyko adapter for a pretty good price so I got it. Out of all of the adapters that I have seen this one to me does look the best as in style (NOT talking about the quality of video that is put on the T.V.). This product is basically a little low quality camera that shows a reflective image of the psp screen from a little mirror on to your T.V. So it's from psp screen to mirror, to camera through the wires to the tv. I plugged it in to my plasma and the quality looked honestly not too good. It did not take up the entire screen it appeared like a wide screen with the left and right side with a little bit of black. The colors are very poor, nothing like the screen on the psp the brightness and darkness is an issue too. The audio is fine no issues with that but as for video quality it looks just like an old film with colors.
There are other ways to be able to play your PSP 1000(aka Phat) on tv through,

1) Either opening it up and installing a custom connection, which I don't advise especially if you have little experience or little knowledge with circuit boards. [...]

OR

2)Plug your psp to your computer that then connects to your tv using a program to be able to see the psp on your computer that with the right wires or adapter will allow you to see it on your tv. You could find a video of this also on youtube just type play psp on computer.


Either of these ways are much higher quality than the adapter, but they are more of a hastle to set up than a easy click on adapter.

At the end this product is not worth the [...] dollars it is usually priced at. If you spend that much you will only be dissapointed and upset that you spent that much money on a poor video quality item that these adapters are known for. If you could find it for a good price like I did go right ahead. I wouldn't pay more than [...] for this.

For today's technology these adapters aren't that great especilly for the price, but if you want it go right ahead. I hope this review was helpful in getting you closer to a decision.

P.S. If you do buy it and the adapter doesn't turn on. Plug in your psp charger to the back A/C port. It may just be mine but my adapter did not turn on when it was just plugged into the psp.

This company should pay people to take this garbage off of their hands, not have people by it thinking they are getting a quality product.

This product captures the reflection of the images from your PSP and converts that reflected image into digital signal that is displayed on your TV. I am sure this sounded like a good idea, but the image quality is HORRIBLE.

Please don't waste your money: I already have. ;-(
