I was very skeptical to buy this product quite honestly. Similar transmitters have been receiving poor to average scores. However, when I heard that Griffin makes quality accessories for the iPod, I thought I'd give it a chance. This FM Transmitter for the PSP works like a charm. I programmed the station an empty station in my car at work. I never had to switch to a different station. There was no static either. I also work in a dense city area. So, while the price may be a little on the high-end. I'd rather buy one of these than 3 cheaper versions that never get it quite right the first time.
Peace out friends!

This product does not fit the new slim PSP. Wish I had know this before I bought it. I did not see this info listed anywhere. So beware.

Won't work with the PSP-2001 ! ! ! !,
This review is from: PSP iTrip Wireless Audio (Electronics)
I was quite disappointed when I got this product, If you own the newer PSP-2001, don't get this product, the headphone plug won't line up with the 2001 version, therefore the entire thing wont mount on the bottom of the PSP, I'm sure it's a fine product if you own the older PSP versions.....

Works pretty well,

This is a nice cheap solution for anyone who wants to listen music stored on their PSP in the car. If you can find a relatively clear station it sounds great. However, depending on where you are driving, or you live in a big city, you are going to get static from time to time. Also, you will probably want to invest in some rechargeable batteries since it is rated around 8 hours of play time per a set of AAAs. Overall a good product.

I was so Siked when my package arrived, couldnt wait to open it and use it, to my disapointment this item only works with the PSP 1000 not the PSP 2000 or 3000. Luckly I have 2 PSP Systems, a PSP 1000 -n- PSP 2000, so I was at least able to use the Item. Other then that the Item works Beautifuly and I'm Happy that I Bought it. Just for referance to future buyers make sure that you have a PSP 1000 before buying this Item that way it works for you.....

OK, so you have a PSP-2000/2001...,

I got the product just like everyone else, thinking it would fit my PSP 2000 and everything would be awesome. But then it arrived and low and behold, it didn't fit! The iTrip ONLY fits the PSP-1000. The connections are about 1/2" off from where they should be. The connection on the right side is for power and the left connects for sound. BUT, if you just connect the sound, and either use a regual battery for power OR plug in power at the bottom of the ITrip below the power connector using the normal PSP charging cable, and VOILA, it works like a charm, and quite well...especially is you are using them on a BOSE system. So if you can work around imperfect looks, to get perfect play, then this is still a sound buy.

I just ordered this, and it doesn't fit the PSP 3000. I couldn't find anything on the add that said what it does, or doesn't fit. Other than that, it's nice looking.

i bought it august, now november, it's dead. DO NOT BUY!!! save your money, it just does not work anymore. it is very hard to keep the thing working with AAA batteries, they should have designed it to work with PSP battery.

There is not much to say about this product. It simply gets the job done. Once you find the right radio station to use, the quality of sound is great.
And for the price, you just can't beat it. It is simply a steal. |
