About the Author

Brian Daines has been Director of Share Psychotherapy Agency, Sheffield, since 1983. He also works in private practice and as a clinical tutor in psychosexual medicine at the University of Sheffield. He has worked in a National Health Service sexual dysfunction clinic for twenty years. Brian Daines was a past Chair of the British Association for Sexual and Relationship Therapy. Angelina Perrett has worked as a psychosexual therapist at the Porterbrook Clinic, Sheffield, for the past eight years. She teaches and supervises students working on their M.Sc. in Psychotherapy for Sexual Dysfunction. Angelina Perrett also works as a psychotherapist in general practice.

Psychodynamic approach to a sexual problem might not be a common approach but it surely works. This professional book takes the sexual disorder treatment to another level by providing a higher level of understanding fit for professional. Save your money. This is the worst book I have ever read... and it cost a whopping $50 for a tiny book. (My son's beginning reading books contain more information than this.) This book is truly a pure disappointment. A book at this price is usually filled with full color illustrations, charts and diagrams; however, this book hardly has any black-and-white visual supplements. The material in this book is extremely dry and gives very little information in helping to solve sexual problems in which the title suggests. It is obvious these people aren't interested in helping professionals treat sexual problems at all; they're only interested in the good 'ol American dollar. If this isn't a get rich quick scheme, I don't know what is. Take my advice and save your money for Dr. Suess. I'm sure you will at least learn something from his books.
