I needed an adapter as the video card I use has 2 DVI outputs and only one DVI to VGA adapter. This little device works just fine for hooking up dual-monitors.

As you may see from the product pictures there is one listed that is a beige and one that is black. The one I received was black although the color of the unit matters not since it still does it's job and it's in the back of the PC. I am using two of these running dual monitors and both are working great and for under $5.00 including shipping it was worth it considering the big office supply chain wants $20+.

I have successfully used this cable for a month now to connect my PC to my HDTV without a problem. Do not waste money on more expensive versions.

This is an ok product to convert 29pin DVI to VGA. Be aware that Apple MiniDisplayPorts to DVI converters and Mini-dvi to DVI converters both only feature a 24pin DVI (Macbook Pro, ibook, G4 Powerbook etc). Basically the analog pins C1-C4 are not carried to the plug of the apple converter making it impossible to use it for any VGA adapter such as this one. You are required to buy another expensive mini-dvi (or mini displayport) to VGA adapter from Apple (and you won't need this handy adapter).

So the reason this product doesn't work for the Apple dvi converter cables that connect to the laptop, is really Apple's fault. As much I like the Macs, I hate their strategies on maximizing profits down to the last accessories, even if it increases the inconvenience of the consumer.

This product probably works fine on a Mac Tower with DVI output.

This is the first time I tried to hook up two monitors to my PC. I was wondering how it was going to work, It works Perfect. Nothing hard to set up thru the settings on the PC. The product works great, I would recommend it. Perfect Price too.

I ordered a couple days before new years, and the device still came a day earlier than expected, which was the 3rd. I immediately stuck it into my computer and now i have two monitors set up. Easiest thing ever.

Works well. I used this to attach a VGA cable from my laptop to my television to use it as a monitor. The only issue I have with it is the length of the adapter, its a bit long and an angled adapter would have probably been better for my purposes. The VGA cable's end attached to this product is in excess of 4" of unbend-able plastic, which gave me some issues attaching at first. Make sure that you have enough space where you will be plugging the adapter in! This was the cheapest way to attach a second monitor and found this product to be a great deal.

I bought this to connect my monitor's VGA cable to a DVI graphics card. It feels very sturdy and works perfectly.

I just needed an adapter to connect my desktop to my monitor. For only $5 for this item including shipping arrived about 1 week to my house. I plugged it in, and it worked. I was expecting a cord that the resolution is cut in half, but once I plugged it in, and turned my computer on, it still displays in full resolution. no ghost marks, or anything on your screen. just what you re supposed to see. A+ product!
I have had this product since November 21, 2010, and this device is still working really well! I just got a new adapter and it's only an inch long! I think it's impressive to the 2 inch one I bought... The same item but from different people. I have 2 and they both still work!
