I have a home theatre system that only has one optical input (I know, I know, my mistake) so having the switcher is my best option. Since it's an optical digital signal, it's pretty much an "it works perfectly" or "it doesn't work at all" scenario. This unit does deliver the signal, and since it's digital, I have to assume it's delivering that nice, pristine signal at 100%. That's good.

That said, it is rather large for its function, a bit unwieldy, and the construction feels like the cheap plastic it is.

The out port is very picky. I have to half-insert the optical cord, sometimes twist or bend it in order to produce a sound.

Second one I bought and stopped working within a couple of days. Thought the first one I bought was defective but this second unit confirms that this item is crap. Buy an electric switch w/remote, it will save you headaches.

The switch does its function, construction quality is not great, basically made of cheap plastic, and it's huge for how simple it is, mine had a minor factory defect, one of the toslink connectors does not "click" into place so if you move it too much it will disconnect. Kinda anoying.

For what it is, it works, having multiple audio sources to one home theather system for example(my case).

This optical switch works for the time being but it will eventually break in short time I suspect. Cheap plastic and the switching is tricky as the dial itself sticks in the open position almost everytime. I have to play with it to work, so this in itself will be its demise. I guess for the price its OK but will try to find an alternative when it does break. Rated this 3 stars only because its functioning and giving me what I want for now.
