A wonderful graphic novel, but not perfect. If one is unfamilar with Stephen Zuli, the artist of Puma it is worth more than a casual gander.
The story does meander and become confusing from time to time; however, any defects in the story are always
made up for by the gorgeousness of Zull 's art. And Besides, when the words and pictures are in unison it is quite emotional and moving.
It is well worth the read. And if you enjoy it, the single issues of Puma Blues should be avaiabl fairly cheaply at any decent comic Store or convention. You should be able to talk them down in price, if you buy all of the individual issues (23, I think) as long as you do not display too much enthsiasm. Good luck. Enjoy your Puma Blues!
