They don't come with laces and it appears that the holes are too small to fit laces in. Very confusing, I assumed I had a defective pair but just read another review that said the same thing so I guess that is just the way they come? It is not safe for a four year to be wearing these shoes without laces.

Buyer beware.....I bought these sneakers for my grandson, because he loves the Puma look; however, when they arrived, we were quite surprised to discover that THEY DON'T COME WITH LACES!! In fact, they have only tiny holes that are merely decorative. Who would have thought an item referred to as a "Fat Lace Sneaker" wouldn't have laces? It seems the term "fat lace" refers to the white design on the side, which does sort of look like a lace if you use your imagination.
