Worth the difference in price.,

I first encountered these hoses while working in Japan and have never looked back. The difference in weight counts when you are working on roof framing. The surface does not mark up material when you drag it which is very important in finish work. These hoses have stood up better to jobsite conditions than regular rubber hoses in my experience. They also retain their flexability in cold weather when we have the compressors in hot rooms. The guns quit first.

These Polyurethane hoses are amazingly light and save countless hours on the job site. They don't kink or get wound up like most ordinary hoses, while being so light that you almost don't even have to think about pulling the hose around with you. These hoses are flexible in the cold mid-west building environment and I'm continually impressed with their durability. I use the ¼" mostly for finish nailers or tools with lower air demands, but I've recently started using them to run 1 framing gun with good success. Because they are light, flexible and don't get tangled, I've now mandated that my crews will use only these hoses on roofs where it's quite common for guys to trip over air hoses. And if you've ever done a finish trim job and fought the hoses damaging every corner in the house, you'll love these hoses. Their [spendy], but worth it.

best hose ever,

I just started using one of these hoses last year. they are great. way easier to manage, much more maneuverable. They seem to last quite a long time, my boss has been using his for over 8 years. he paid 100 bucks for it and hasn't bought a replacement yet, The best thing I find about them is when you go to coil them up. you're not fighting them to keep them from twisting up. we are running three of these right now, and combined they save us about 2 man hours/week in cleanup and general hose tangling issues. that is worth the difference in price right there, the fact that they out last rubber is just icing on the cake!

40+ hours/week 1 month review from a pro carpenter,

This hose is great.. Far as durablitiy, top of the line. Really couldnt ask for more of a hose. I havent poped a leak in it yet, so dont know how easy it is to splice and reuse. If your a pro in the carpenty business, at least around here the benchmark hose is a thin gray rubber hose. Compared to that hose, its a lot better as far as durability, weight, "rolling up easy", "not catching on corners". The cons are that is so light it doesnt sit on the floor good when there is a lot of slack(easy w/100'hose). BUT this is in comparision with the gray hose that always sits on the floor because its heavy. The PUR hose is light years ahead of the pvc hoses you buy in the box stores, and overall better than the rubber hoses. Its the same feeling I had when I went from dial up to cable internet.. NEVER GOING BACK... Cheers Chris

Only hose you'll ever need!,

I recently purched this hose and found it to be the best hose ive ever used. It is considerably lighter and smaller than the others, only hose ive found that fits with room to spar on a electric cord reel. This hose doesnt twist and tangle like the others either it may have coils in it when laying on the floor but when you extend it they come right out. Ive never had it kink yet. I was so impressed i bought 2 50` ones and i'm going to purchase a 3/8's as well.Try this hose and you'll never own another.

This was a prayer answered. I always got so tired of the standard air hoses getting tangled, caught under baseboards and door jambs, etc. This was the answer. I run anything from a pneumatic stapler, to a framing nailer, to a 1/2" impact wrench...not a miss. You won't go wrong from this poster's viewpoint.

I just got my hose and could not use it because one fitting had a small crack in it that caused it to leak. Tightening it only made the leak worse. When I asked Amazon for a replacement I was told that it was out of stock. Just as well since the 100' length is too long to keep untangled. In addition, the 1/4 diameter is a bit small for anything that needs a lot of air such as a framing nailer. I will probably order a couple of the 3/8" by 50' instead.

My brother is a contractor and has compressor hoses similar to this. They are very light weight, rarely kink, and are easy to coil up.I bought a couple of these thinking they were the same quality as the one's my brother had. Unfortunately they tangle more easily and don't coil up quite as nice. They are still much better than the traditional bulky compressor hoses but don't perform as well as I had hoped compared to others I have used. For this reason I give this product 3 stars.

I ordered a 100 ft. PUR!!!!!air hose. What I received was a piece of crap made by another company(flexeel) The first hose had air bubbles in the hose which were showing through the hose.I sent the hose back along with a lengthy explanation of the problem, the most important of which is that the hose was not the manufacturer I ordered.Amazon never even wrote or addressed the problem. They did send meanother crappy hose from Flexeel though. They don't work as well as the Pur hose does. They don't roll up as easy, they tangle easier and I've been left wih a bad taste in my mouth by the complete lack of customer service. My complaints and questions were never addressed and I'm left with a 100 ft. piece of crap.I bought 2 14.4 Makita drill sets last year and I'm in the market for a 12" compound slide miter saw.I guess I'm back to shopping at Lowe's or Home Depot. They will at least help a customer when you ask them for help.Amazon never even contacted me after several attempts to speak with a Human being at customer service. To be honest I don't think they even have a customer servicedepartment. If they do they might want to read this and realize that they are losing a good customer due to a complete lack of caring on their part. Very upset and I bet that I still won't hear from Amazon on the matter. BUYERS BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you use an air hose more than a few times a year these are a MUST have. The difference between using this product and a rubber hose cannot be over stated. Here are the benefits:Takes up about 1/4 the space. Feels like it weighs just a few ounces, great for trasporting and working. The reduction in fatique is unreal. The pain in the rear end of coiling and uncoiling rubber hoses is gone. This hose practically coils itself. Much more flexible, even in cold weather. If you want to straighten it out to get the "coils" out of it just put one guy on each end and pull, it straightens right out! These hoses are easily repaired on site. If you are a contractor this hose will pay for itself the first day in increased productivity. Its really not that much more money than the rubber hoses! Downside: All that still good rubber hose that will just dry-rot. 2000 feet of rubber hose sitting in my garage that will never be used again. |
