The "brand new" Purell hand wipes are a terrible new version of what were great hand wipes previously made by Purell and Cojo. The previous wipes (with alcohol) were larger 6 X 8" soft waffle cloth that worked well for any cleanup or sanitizing. The old version no longer made or available were clothlike and could clean while sanitizing. The new version are smaller hard paper similar to wax paper with liquid dripping from the hard paper. It is useless in cleaning and very rough on any surface. It has NO absorbing properties. I would never buy again.

Horrible, doesn't even compare to the original,

I would give this product negative stars if I could. This is by far the absolute worst "new" version of a product I have ever seen. The wipes are tiny in comparison to the original 6"x8" wipes. And "wipes" isn't really being accurate in describing this new product. They're more like small pieces of paper dipped in greasy alcohol. If you poured some alcohol on your hands & rubbed them together you'd get about the same effect as you would if you used one of these new wipes. The original 6"x8" were not only bigger, they were much more absorbent, so that when you used them, you were actually able to wipe your hands. As opposed to winding up with drippy wet hands with the new product. This new product is a shameful, inferior version of the original. I suggest you stock up on as much of the original product as you can before supplies run out. After the original wipes supply runs out, I'm afraid I will have to start using Wet Ones, which are not much better than the new Purell wipes, however I refuse to give the GoJo company my business for what they have done. Really, they should be ashamed of themselves. They know that the new wipes are horrible, yet they will sell them anyway, so they can make more money for themselves, rather than make their customers happy.

Very Poor "Improvement" on a Once Excellent Product,
By E. Walcutt Brown (Palm Springs, California) - See all my reviews
This review is from: PURELL Sanitizing Hand Wipes Individually Wrapped 100-ct. Box
This product replaced a first rate product by Purell, the 8x6 size, which was excellent. The "improved" wipe is much smaller at the 5x7 size. It is very small, is rough to the skin, and dries out immediately Also, because the put the new one in a cheaper packet, the wipe often dries out before it can be used. This is a wretched product! The manufacturer would be wise to bring back the better quality product and discontinue THIS one, even if it does cost a bit more. These ones are virtually useless compared to the discontinued larger ones. Try to obtaine 8x6 size before they are no longer available. This decision by the manufacturer was pure craziness! Or try another brand.. This product isn't what you want. Trust me on this one.

Least Expensive, Convenient and Adequate,

Purell Wipes are basically a replacement for the old Wet-Ones wipes. These are inexpensive and do the job. But because my employer recently starting stocking areas with these, I decided to try another brand so it doesn't look like I'm pilfering (appearances are critical.) I tried the Sani-Hands Wipes. Click to that item to see photos I took comparing them.So the Purell wipes cost about 2/3 of what the Sani-Hands wipes do. Neither is expensive; we're talking under 8-cents per wipe either way. Both do the job. The Sani-Hands are larger, fluffier/softer, wetter and slippier. They seem to dry the hands out less too. A nicer experience, but not a deal breaker. So for 30% more money, you get maybe 30% better experience. There's no wrong answer.

The product itself purell sanitizing hand wipes is an excellent product.Because this product, which used to be readily available at many locations is now hard to find, I bought six boxes of 100. This order was placed in November. When they arrived I discovered All the boxes had an expiration date of December, which means they were very old. This had not been mentioned when I ordered. Many of the wipes were dry and therefore useless. The shipping price was also far more than the price of the product. I was unhappy with the failure to mention the expiration date which makes me hesitant to purchase other fungible items online.

Just as effective as the original wipes!,

Some reviewers here are complaining about how these aren't as good as the 8x6 "original" wipes. While these are indeed more paper-like in feel (and a bit drippy) and not cloth-like like the originals, it still gets the job done with the same efficacy. With the same active ingredient of 62% Ethy Alcohol in all of Purell's products, it disinfects exactly the same. I bought these 7x5 wipes somewhere else at about 1/4 of the price of the more expensive top-selling 8x6 original wipes here on Amazon. For me, I just need to disinfect my hands, and my work surface occasionally, so these just get the job done. They even come in individually packaged tiny 2" packs for greater portability to boot.

Purell Sanitizing Hand Wipes,
By hand wipes I used to buy. They have a very strong alchohol smell and don't moisturize the skin, although the product claims to do that. They remind me of the cheap wipes one receives from a mediocre restaurant or gas station! Not worth the money!

I expected the package the wipes are in to be better grade so they would not dry out.

I am a teacher and use these wipes religiously. I orginally bought the individual wipes at Sam's Club but could not find them in any store locally. That is where Amazon helped me out. These are great to throw in your purse or pocket, when you will be eating out, too. No need to have to go wash your hands, just after you sit down in the restaraunt.
