New Ingredients. COMPLETELY different...and not for the better, July 23, 2011
This review is from: PUREOLOGY by Pureology: NANOWORKS SHAMPOO 10.1 OZ (Health and Beauty)
This used to be an amazing, quality product. Unfortunately, they recently changed the ingredients. You might as well go spend 8 bucks on a cheap drugstore Loreal product, because you'll probably get the same results. This new version doesn't lather well(you have to use A LOT more) and gives nowhere near the results of the old version(hello again, fly-aways). Also, it didn't rinse as well and left some type of residue in my hair. Just to make sure I wasn't being unreasonable about this, I used the new shampoo for a few days and then I used the small(sadly) remaining amount of the old version I had. NO comparison.
I, like some of the other reviewers, had thought I'd received a fake, but then I compared the ingredients from my old bottle with the new one. Sure enough, Eau/Water was no longer the first ingredient(along with other changes), but rather, it was some kind of Organic Shitaki Mushrooms. I don't need Shitaki Mushrooms in my hair, I need a shampoo that works, and this Nanoworks version just doesn't 'work'. My hair days have gone from exceptional to so-so. I gave this product 1 star, because this company actually had the nerve to completely change the product, thinking a loyal Pureology user wouldn't notice.

WOW. Worth every penny., December 1, 2011
This review is from: PUREOLOGY by Pureology: NANOWORKS SHAMPOO 10.1 OZ (Health and Beauty)
I have to say, I am very pleasantly surprised by this product. I am wary of anything that costs so incredibly much, and makes big promises. I was prepared to be disappointed, due to how expensive this stuff is. I first found out about Pureology Nanoworks in Good Housekeeping's September 2011 issue (p. 88) in which this shampoo & conditioner won first place as best for aging hair, and color treated hair. I'm 32, and my hair is currently 100% color free. My hair is naturally curly, but is so long right now (down to my waist) that it is now wavy instead of curly. My hair has always been described as thick, horse hair (very coarse). I am massively, massively impressed with this product. Just one use and I have a new head of hair. The shampoo goes a really long way. I used way too much of it the first time. The conditioner I'll go through a lot faster (why is the conditioner bottle always smaller? I blow through it so much faster than shampoo) since my hair is down to my waist. Even so, I use less of this conditioner then I do of any other conditioner I've used to date (and I've tried all Aveda, Bumble & Bumble, etc.). I like that you use less of this product given it's sky high price tag. I'm on a severe budget, and this shampoo and conditioner is my one splurge and let me tell you, from someone who is really pinching pennies, this stuff is worth it x100. I've never been so impressed. LOVE IT. I ordered this shampoo from Beauty In Style via Amazon, and it arrived very fast, packaged well. I'd buy from them again.

best shampoo, January 10, 2012
This review is from: PUREOLOGY by Pureology: NANOWORKS SHAMPOO 10.1 OZ (Health and Beauty)
This is the best shampoo that I have found for my fine, blond, colored hair. You don't have to use a lot of the shampoo to wash your hair, so it is well worth the price, in my opinion. And it performs so well that I don't use any other shampoo, and I have tried many shampoos. I use the Nanoworks conditioner also. Love them both!!
