I play this game about 3 times a week, i would probably rate myself as intermediate level. I've been using the Penn Ultra Blue Racquetball - Can of 3 Racquetballs since quite some time and thought of trying out these Pen Pro HD balls. It seemed good at first since the balls are not that fast like the blue ones, these bounce low, so you have to hit them a bit more hard than the blue ones. But then 2 of the 3 balls I tried so far from the can, bursted in like 4-5 games. That was a low quality experience for me

Don't know if I can completely describe the difference between these and those standard blue klunkers, but a good back-hand shot with one of these purple balls is a rush. I could never go back to blue or even green, for that matter. The best I've tried.

I concur with the other reviewer: the difference is palpable yet difficult to describe. Quite simply, these balls bounce... tighter? Better? Your stroke will feel more precise, the balls don't hop around quite as much as with green/blue balls. I've not tried the red "fireballs" so can't compare, but don't really need the balls to move any faster.

Only negative we've encountered is when the hall outside the court is dark, you can lose this against the glass. Not an issue for my 42-year old eyes, but a 69 year old I play (don' laugh, he's damned good!) complains he loses it, at times. Want to try a few pink balls, but I've never played Wilson...maybe my next review?
