2.0 out of 5 stars Depends upon what you want it for. May 8, 2012
Amazon Verified Purchase
Pros:

Allows up to 4 people to progress through the set of crosswords, and have the puzzle keep track of each person's progress separately.

Appears to have a timer feature option, in case you want to use this tool for the fun of it. Did not delve into it.

Cons:
..Awkward interface.
..Mundane clues/words. Example - not a spoiler: "People Who Care (6)" provides a brief definition, and the length of the word. In the case of multiple words it would have been broken down for instance to "People Who Care (2,4)". So far, so good. But the answer is Carers. While this is not an actual example, it's level of sophistication is typical.
..Minimal interlacing. Instead of horizontal & vertical words being tightly woven, most words were fastened like ladders -- blank spots between half the letters of each word.

Note on clues: Place your cursor carefully over the square you want filled in for you, then use the menu to request a hint. "Cost" is 15 seconds if you're in a timed challenge.

I realize some people may find the puzzle layout to be just their cup of tea, and I encourage them to write about their own experiences.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not my fave December 9, 2012

I was expecting crosswords like you'd do in the newspaper. More like the random ones we did in grade school with, like, 15 words.

1.0 out of 5 stars Don't waste your money October 19, 2012
I was excited when I saw this product. I like to do crossword puzzles as a "brain exerciser". I started on the first puzzle and it was just what I wanted. Not so easy that I breezed through it but not so hard that I couldn't do it. It made me think. After I finished I tried to go to the next puzzle. However, it will not load. I have tried to load several of the puzzles and they will not load. After I close the game I get an error in loading message. When I read the reviews there were several that said they had the same problem but I bought it anyway. I should have listened and saved my money.

I suggest that you assess and label the puzzles you offer for appropriate age or experience level, or allow them to be returned after a tryout.

1.0 out of 5 stars Too many blank spaces
Too many blank space means not enough clues. I can't get into these puzzles at all. Sorry but not very much fun.
