I was originally looking for a 50's or early 60's style console record player, but they are so expensive now and I got tired of looking for that great deal. I decided to settle for a table top and began looking at old record player, but they are really expensive as well now. Now, I'm no audiophile, but I do love my old records. This is a simple, lightweight record player that I can enjoy and, because of the stereo rca jacks, I can hook them up to a nice set of multimedia speakers with a subwoofer and really enjoy.
If there is anything that I just really don't like about the record player, it's that you can't stack records, but I'll live. If pyle ever comes out with a usb/plug in record player that will stack records, I will happily buy one of those too.

I like this little record player it's very attractive and lightweight. Easy to use:straight from box to table top. Instructions are clear and simple. Great speakers. Can't beat the price for turntable with UBS-to-PC. Plenty of vintage style.... A+

Let me start by saying I have a considerably NICER turntable with a magnetic cartridge, adjustable tracking/anti skating, etc. That being said, for the price I paid for this little unit, I have no complaints so far. I've recorded about 9 albums so far, including a double album and have been very satisfied with the results. The FREEWARE that comes with this turntable is another matter. The software was powerful, but just too complicated. For $40 I bought Spin-It-Again. It is computer dummy friendly, so easy to use and does a great job.

pretty solid turntable with av input ; mp3 transfer software is a little tricky to use , but an ingenious idea nonetheless. i'm hopeful this will operate flawlessly for a good longevity

This is a very nice player. Great sound. No speed problems that I can detect. Hooked up to my Windows 7 PC just fine. Comes with Audacity, but it worked just fine with Sony Acid.

Three speed selector (but I have no idea where my 45's are right now so I can't test it).

The tone arm manual lifter is a nice surprise. When you lower it, it doesn't just "clunk it" onto the record, but eaaassssssessss it slowly down to the surface.
When the tone arm hits the inner groove, it automatically stops. When you return the tone arm to home position, it also stops.
But WAIT! There IS a switch that overrides that, and keeps the turntable spinning. So, if you want to play that inner groove on your Parlophone Sergeant Pepper album until you reach Nirvana (the state of mind, not the band), then you will have the ability to do so!

I bought two of these, one for me, and one as a graduation present for a young lady who I hope will enjoy it!

The system worked fine for the first 5 minutes and then the turntable began to spin inconsistently causing sound distortion. Eventually the turntable completely failed.

I purchased one of these at Fry's in Burbank last summer, hoping to be able to perform USB capture of the few records in my collection, as cheaply as possible. I suppose I got what I paid for: Though the box claims that the unit is both PC & Mac compatible, there are only full instructions online for how to perform captures on PC. With Mac, you are told to "install Audacity" and are pretty much left to your own devices after that. In my case, I could not get the USB to ever be detected by any of the 3 different Mac computers I plugged it into.

I attempted to engage with Pyle's customer service department, via the barely functional support ticket system on their company website. My inquiries were met with what seemed like form-letter responses, none of which were particularly helpful (first they told me again to "install Audacity," which I already had installed before I even bought the turntable, then they suggested I ship it cross-country to be repaired). In the end I managed to set up a capture chain using the red and white RCA outputs on the unit instead of the USB cable, but note that in order to do this, I had to employ the Mackie mixer & RME Babyface that I already have hooked up to my iMac for digital recording.

As a straight up turntable, the speed seems to remain constant when playing records and the tonearm does a nice little slow descent when you lower its lever to begin play, but the internal speakers are Fisher-Price quality.
