I spent some time pricing subwoofers so that I could add a little thump to my vehicle. I wasn't looking for competition grade equipment, but rather something affordable and functional. I bought this just because of the price and have been extremely happy. The enclosure is well manufactured, has a good look and was easy to install. I installed it with a Pyle 300W/channel Amp and it thumps great. I have had installed for over 6 months now with no problems and am actually looking at getting a second one. Pyle has done a very good job with this for the price.

Faced with the choice of replacing my '98 Rodeo with a new car or to keep it and lacking the resources or the will to do the former, I decided to spring for the needed renovations and bring the Rodeo up to date with 21st century technology. among those upgrades I completely replaced the factory stereo and speakers to which I added this Pyle Subwoofer to the mix. paid a nominal price for it too so felt a little skeptical with what its performance would be like. How pleasantly surprise I was at sound coming from this sub. I spend Sunday afternoon crusing like I did when I was younger just listening to this wonderful complement. would highly recommend it, whether you have lots of money to burn or on a tight budget like me.

i have it hooked up to my cx250 boss 400 watt amp. it is bridged with at least half of the adjust level power. it is working great so far. if you want bigger bass get a 10" or bigger, i didn't want to take up much room. i liked the tube so i bought it even after reading everyone else's negative comments thinking that i'd take a chance and if it blows i'll just upgrade the speaker... i'm glad i did but, i still might upgrade the speaker one of these days ;) for $35 it's hard to complain about

I have bought 2 of these, along with a 400-watt Pyle amplifier and the sound is absolutely awesome. I never thought you could get such great sound from something so cheap, but this sub tube is great and I would most definitely recommend it

I ordered 2 8 inch Pyle sub woofers in a tube.

I received both items with in a few days.

They were packaged well, a box inside a box filled with ballooned bubble plastic.

Very easily installation~ took me less than 5 minutes!!!!!

I could tell right off that they were working when I turned the bass down on the stereo and cranked it up.

They fit right between the rear seats, fit perfectly out of site and not in the way.

Just enough bass and quality sound for whom ever is riding will surely enjoy.

I recently purchased this sub tube and it blew out the same day, about 1 hour of play time. My 6" Polk book shelf speaker has performed better for 4 months prior to putting this on my system.

If all someone wants is a little added base, I find the 8" tube to be efficient. I might replace the speaker someday. I prefer tighter base. For the money, who could compain.

hello i recently purchased this sub tube and it blew out the same day i hooked it up and it tells you its 400watts but i hooked it up to a 100 watt amp and it blew and then if you want to repair with the warranty it will cost you up to 20 dollers to send it in its just a peace of garbag waste of money and time thank you for nothing

I'm completely satisfied with this set up, not only for the price but for the performance. The enclosure is well build and attractive. The sound isn't crazy loud like some other higher end subs but for the price you're paying you can't expect competition type performance. For all of you out there complaining about blowing out the sub on this enclosure clearly don't understand the proper way to tune your sub. 400 Watts means it's rated to peak at that level, running a 280 watt RMS amp and cranking up the gain is going to get your sub ruined in mintues. Even if you're an amature and blow things up right away just go out and purchase a more expensive subwoofer and use the enclosure. In the end it's still worth it.

I was initially impressed by the bass quality I got from this sub-woofer.
I hooked it up to a low end low power amp and it was good for maybe 2 months then I noticed the sound became distorted.
Something obviously broke loose inside and sounds like a typical speaker with tear in the cone, although I don't see one.
Definitely not worth it.
