Ok. I was lookin for a good subwoofer for my dodge truck. I bought 2 kicker tens and I wanted more. So i started searching the net for cheaper subs and I came across these. They are cheap so I bought one. I put it in my truck and I really could not believe that this cheap sub sounded so good. So I bought 3 more of these subs cuz I was putting my truck in sound offs. I came in second in my class out of 36 entries. Ok So i went and bought 2 more, took the kickers out, and wow You literally can not be in my truck with the radio on. It is so loud and hits so hard. About 2 months ago I entered another sound off with the six pyle subs and took first in my class and third over all. There were 94 entries in the total and 22 in my class.

I have a 2 year old surround sound setup in my living room. I had always been unhappy with the stock speaker in the subwoofer as it just sounded weak. So continually turning up the amplifier on it, it blew it out and it started rattling, I was not surprised, it was a cheap speaker. However, the subwoofer amp and enclosure were great. It had a built in 150watt amplifier on it and the enclosure looked good in my living room. So after doing some research on amplifiers & ohms I decided to go with this guy as a replacement since a "good" new subwoofer is hard to find under $150. SO, after a little mod to my existing enclosure I threw this sub in there and hooked it up. HOLY CRAP, this thing will rattle the walls in my home theatre room and rival those kids with the "noise" coming from their rattling trunks. For $27 and free shipping (I love you amazon prime) I don't know why more people just replace their stock subwoofer speaker even if it sounds fine. It quite literally took my cheap 100watt subwoofer and turned it into 300 watt subwoofer just by changing the ohms of the speaker i had in it. I have had it hooked up for a few weeks now and after a "break in period" which is typical of all subs and speakers, it sounds amazing. I have yet to turn it all the way up (its at about 50% now) just to see what it sounds like.

Build a box to the correct volume for this sub, put it in a hatchback and it sounds AMAZING.
I've got a 400W amp (200W RMS) pushing this sub, and it sounds, and feels, like I've got a 1000W system. This cheap sub is definitely a head turner.

These are not speakers for someone who is gonna just throw them in and hope they sound good u have to meticulously wire them set them up perfectly and they will outperform most, i have four in a jeep with two 1400 watt amps, u can hear me from about two blocks away, they flex alot when u have a good bass boosting amp and they drown out all the other sounds so i suggest buying a few tweeters with them i have mine on full frequency with 16db bass boost and theyll knock a cup of water sittin on my roof over, get em there cheap and great to play with but like i said it may take you a day or two to have them bumpin...do not be discouraged if they arent blasting the second u hook them up these babies need some tlc before they play for you but once u have em hooked theyll never stop

I bought two of these pyle subs. 1 blew the first day or was already blown when it was sent. i guess you get what you pay for. they have a one year warranty but they charge 15 dollars for shipping and what not. well that's 7 dollars less than what the subs cost. i wont' buy another pyle product.

I bought these woofers because i was on a budget for my system, i was looking to shake my truck, but not the guy next to me. and thats what to expect when buying these subs, they hit really hard and deliver a deep clear bass, it doesn't drown out the lyrics and i can still feel the "boom" in my seat. they look great on top of good bass. i would recommend this to someone looking to save some money on subs and still get a good sounding system

doesnt even show the RMS!!! thats the most important part! anyways i bought this as an experiment, and im unhappy. cuz i like a mean subwoofer, first off it rattles and it cant hit the lows that well. but if you like mediocre bass go for it...its not bad but its not great either

It sounded amazing for about 3 days and then the positive and negative wires broke from inside the sub. "If" this sub was better built I would give it 5 stars and highly recommend it. I would say, try your luck and see if you get one with better soldered wires. I'm upgrading to the Kenwood KFC-W2512 10-Inch, 1000-Watt Subwoofer. A lot more money, but extremely well built.

I was looking for a sub that was a good boom for the buck. I'm gonna have to keep looking, because this sub blew after three weeks. I only had 300 watts hooked up to it!!!
It wasnt that great anyways, I had hoped for a deeper bass and there was also an "airy" sound to the acoustics. I will never buy anything from Pyle again. The name fits the product. POS. Move on and look for something better, you get what you pay for. |
