I decided to get this stand because it was one of the cheapest if not the cheapest on amazon. Its very easy to assemble and disassemble. It has a gripped bottom and on the top it has grip upper also to hold the computer with safety front holders to hold the computer in place and is very sturdy and really won't fall.

No, I'm not a DJ. I'm just a standing desk aficionado. I bought this sturdy sucker for use at my standing desk-- to raise my laptop up to eye level. Solid steel construction means this stand is well-weighted and stays put. Foam padding protects your computer. It is exactly what I needed. Adjusting the height requires some effort, so once you find an appropriate height, you'll probably want to keep it there. But excellent value and excellent product.

I mounted this on to my DJ stand and it works perfect. Was very happy with this purchase. It is a good quality product and was happy with the way the stand is set up so my laptop wont slide off.

It's job is to hold the laptop up, without falling over if at all possible. Right? What's so special about that? Well, that's the constant question I have when I see tons of "PRO DJ LAPTOP MACBOOK PERFORMANCE SRILLEX STAND" bits out there. Go down to the local GuitarShack and you won't find one for under $75! Some even cost $200!?! It's just a bit of metal and foam.

Well, that's what this is. Yes, it's by "Pyle". Would I use one of their mixers on a gig of mine? Er... no. Would I have their speakers at a live Jazz session at work? If I did, I would be laughed off the gig and probably fired for how badly the speakers would sound. But, when it comes to daily-use hardware like stands, clips and the like, they are actually pretty good. It's not NASA grade engineering to make a stand. But, they make it cheap, solid and well... as a stand! I'm pleased with it and use it at work everyday. Does what it says on the tin.

By the way, they may want to reconsider the name "Pyle" in North America and the UK. The world sounds too much like what we'd call something that the dog deposits on the lawn. Doesn't help when you're a low end supplier (not that there's nothing wrong with low-end. Hell, I buy their mounts, stands and rack parts!)

Wish the height was a little easier to adjust. Knobs that hold the stand together come loose and periodically need to be tightened, not frequently enough to really be bothersome. I am satisfied.

I love it but the company that delivered my item came days before schedule and I was out of town, they didn't leave a note. And from past review of them I see it's true. All and all the stand is a great mobile piece to keep.

I Love this stand! Have no problems with it. It's adjustable, sturdy, and gives you the perfect height. Assembles in minutes and holds my Toshiba laptop perfectly. Can't beat it for the money! Highly recommended!

I have a last minute gig 10/12/13 and needed a replacement laptop stand ASAP. well I thought this would be decent but it honestly is not. I WANT to like it a lot because of the excellent price but the shoddy craftsmanship forces me to leave a bad review.

PROS:
-incredible price point
-the black finish feels and looks great.
-the material is good with a good weight to it.
CONS:
-the right leg wasn't drilled properly so the holes don't even line up correctly--LEADING TO SLANTED POSTURE. my 15" macbook pro shakes on this even with just gentle taps on the touchpad and will even start sliding off slowly because of the posture.
-the threads that you screw the two bars through are cheaply done and started stripping already!! in ONE DAY!

seriously, i want to like this because i paid money and it was cheap but i honestly believe my broken stand is better than this new. :( i club DJ and i do not trust this holding my $1800 MBP

I looked around for a while to find the right laptop stand. I chose this one because had adjustable height and because it was much more reasonably priced than the fixed-height, shaped aluminum ones. Assembly was easy; I chose the lowest height and that was just right for my set up. Even on the lowest height, there is plenty of room underneath the laptop for storage. I keep a couple of external hard drives under mine. The laptop is a late 2013 Macbook Pro 15" and it fits fine and seems very secure due to the padding and the lips on the front of the top shelf.

When I first got this product I thought that it seemed pretty flimsy. I just wasn't sure that I would feel safe putting my laptop on it. After I assembled it and set it to about the second tallest setting (I like how it is adjustable), I put my laptop on the nice foam cushioning (another plus, that's nice) and took a step back, thinking it might collapse at any moment.

But it didn't.

So I wiggled it back and forth and pushed it to and fro. And it was solid!

I now trust this with my laptop, even around my stupid cats.
