For more than 20 years a writer, an editor, and a publisher of non-fiction books, John W. Selfridge is the author of John Coltrane: A Sound Supreme, named by the New York Public Library one of the Best Books for the Teenage, and several other biographies for young adults. He currently lives in the Berkshire hills, and teaches English, Irish, and American literature in Northampton, Massachusetts.
