5.0 out of 5 stars Much More than expected
My son really likes this game. This game has great 3D graphics and runs nicely on a PIII 1 Ghz machine running XP equipped with an nVidia GeForce 6200 AGP card and a generic (but recent) 7.1 sound card . The game supports up to 1280x1024 and 5.1 audio which was a real surprise since I figured it was just an old game. The audio and video are very smooth. So far we have...

This version of Pac Man is actually very entertaining and great for those pac fans who prefer playing a computer game over the playstation version. It has many different levels, scenery, and enemies which will keep you interested. It also features bonus levels or mazes. So far we have been using a keyboard and have not tested with a joy stick, we'll be hooking one up next week. As far as the game itself, this is much better than the original, which should be expected with today's technology, but often is not the case.

5.0 out of 5 stars Tons of fun with a dash of nostalgia, October 7, 2002

This game is great fun, because even non-gamers will be able to play it right away without even looking at the manual. If you spent hours playing the original arcade Pac-Man, then you know the basic premise to the game. This version however has really cool up-to-date graphics, and the game play has actually been improved over the original, with the ability to jump, as well as other small but significant changes. It's remains simple enough to provide a quick and easy break from the real world, for people who don't normally have the time to really get into a more complex computer game.

This game is good for all ages; a good "take a break" type of game. There's lots of different levels, but like the traditional pacman, you have to do them in order. Fortunately, you have the option of Easy or Medium dificulties. I really like the Multiplayer option which is great for kids to play against their parents. You can also play this game over the internet against other people. It has good graphics (even vertical levels) and fun mini games between levels. There is also a cool feature that allows you to see the traditional "overhead" view or a closeup 3-D view.

5.0 out of 5 stars Old & New Combined For Fantastic game!, December 6, 2011
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Pac Man Adventures In Time (Jewel Case) (CD-ROM)
Hi all, This version is fantastic, "Pac-Man - Adventures In Time" is great fun for all. If you like Pac-man The original, you will love this game. I would recomend getting a joystick as you will have control of pac-man like you were in the arcades of old. This is the joystick I use, but mine is white. Microsoft Xbox 360 Wireless Controller for Windows Most don't realize that Microsoft makes the XBox 360 joystick for windows as well, and it's fantastic. You can get the wired for about $10 less, but why? Wireless for that little amount is more enjoyable to use. Also, if you already own an XBox, and have the wireless controller, you can buy just the wireless adaptor for half the price, and use your existing controler. Xbox 360 Wireless Gaming Receiver for Windows Have fun, great game, and get the joystick when you can, and enjoy all games as you would while playing a console type gaming system. A lot of games for the PC where a joystick is a must have, and Microsoft's is durable, reliable, and worth every cent.

5.0 out of 5 stars Classic Pac-Man at its best, November 29, 2010
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Pac Man Adventures In Time (Jewel Case) (CD-ROM)
Pac-Man Adventures in Time.....IS SUCH AN OVERLOOKED GAME!!

People have got to play this thing!

It's all the action you expect from the original arcade classics, but 100 times better. It's like the Sonic CD of the Pac-Man series. Is that saying much? Well lemme tell you this:

You play as the used-to-be-modern Pac-Man and go around eating dots being chased by ghosts in over 100 mazes with several different environments in-game. There are also some minigames, extra mazes, and cutscenes. All of which you can unlock once you reach them.

A majority of mazes have their own gimmicks. Want me to name some? Swimming, gravity shoes, lasers shooting at you, boulders rolling down, mine cart, ETC.

It also has some multiplayer modes, and (Drum roll please?) ONLINE PLAY. That's right. You can play online!

Overall, you know what I want you to do. Now GO DO IT!

2.0 out of 5 stars Disappointing for XP users, May 12, 2010

I was very disappointed--the description said it was compatible with Windows XP. But it simply would not work on my computer. Constantly froze up, display didnot fit screen (no matter how I adjusted the resolution). It was especially disappointing because I had this game on an earlier computer, several years ago, and it worked just fine--it was alot of fun, good action and graphics. But something got lost in translation from earlier Windows versions to this one. In this case new and improved wasn't!
