Lame game with Pac-Man & unique Pac Jr. minigames,
By
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Pac Man 2: the New Adventures (Video Game)
In the "main game", you must help guide Pac-Man, via a slingshot with the "B" button, to knock things down/out of the way, hit Pac-Man to get his attention, etc. Also, you hold down "A" along with pressing the "d-pad" direction to tell Pac-Man where to look or go. Overall, this portion gets lame after awhile and, if you're like me, you'll either complete the quest only once, or never complete it at all.
The real gems in this game are of course, the minigames, which will have high replay value: PAC-MAN ARCADE: enter PCMNORG as the password to get the original Pac-Man arcade game. PAC JR: enter PCJRDPW as the password. The mazes here closely resemble Ms. Pac-Man arcade mazes, but with Pac Jr. and bouncing toys in place of the bouncing fruit. THE MAZES HERE ARE UNIQUE TO THE SEGA GENESIS VERSION, MAKING THIS IS THE MOST SOUGHT-AFTER PIECE OF THIS GAME. So, in short, the main game is lame and the minigames are well worth the purchase price. The Pac Jr. is only on the Genesis version, not the Super Nintendo's.
