On all four sides of the box, Z-Poxy boasts of its "clear formula". Then right off the bat, the instruction leaflet inside says, "Please note: On occasion, the hardener portion of this material may fluctuate in color..." I suspect that it's less "occasional" than they're reporting.

If you are using Z-Poxy over a transparent, white, or very light-colored surface then the finished coating will be visible.

The color of the hardener in my box was distinctly brown - about the same color as a UPS uniform (not the trucks... they're darker). The resin is completely clear. The finished coating is pretty much exactly what you would expect from mixing the two: a light honey color. (The color of the cured coating will be exactly the same as the color of the uncured mixture.)

I used this product as a pore sealer when building an acoustic guitar. Worked really well and didn't give me any trouble at all!

Measuring the right amount is critical but with the mixing cups it is no problem at all. Mix this with denatured alcohol and it comes up as a thin paintable resin which is easily applied and controlled. Working time is around thirty minutes so you can get all your work done in one session. It is odorless, dries hard and is easily sanded, much better than the fiber glass resin. A must have if you want a professional fiber glassing job.

If you are using small amounts of glass resin, I think this is fine. I use system 3 resins because it's cheaper in the long run. The outlay is more but you get twice as much

This was one of the easiest resins I have worked with. Good work life and easy to sand and finish once it is cured.
Thak you

This product work great. I messed for the first application, putting too much epoxy, or maybe not enough hardener, I ended up with a gummy texture who take a long time to dry. I had a lot of sanding! The second application was much better, it harder well in more than 40min leaving me the time to spread it into the pore with an old credit card, then I use a razor blade to take off the excess.

Pacer Z-Poxy Finishing Resin 12 oz was easy to work with and also works well as a slow setting epoxy glue.

Excellent choice for oak wood pore filler. Would be nice if it would dry quicker

A nit I would pick, the caps for the lids are not very forgiving when you cut the tube to dispense. It has a narrow range of tube to reseal, and if you cut too low, they will not stay on resulting in an inconvenience in storage. Measure carefully and it will work perfectly. I was able to thin with denatured alcohol and had great results.
