4.0 out of 5 stars Jungle Bowie
Jungle Bowie is descriptive of this large and heavy bowie style knife. I've owned this for nearly 2 years at the date of this review. I use it as a machete, it works quite well for that purpose. Blade is thick and heavy. Rather rough construction but what I would expect of a 'jungle' knife. Everyone who has handled this knife has agreed that it would chop through flesh...

The "Jungle Bowie Knife" photo gives the impression of a possibly impressive Bowie Knife. However, the genuine article the photo depicts falls short of being impressive. The "Jungle Bowie Knife" photo gives the impression of a possibly impressive Bowie Knife. However, the genuine article the photo depicts falls short of being impressive. While the Jungle Bowie Knife is quite long and fairly sharp out-of-the-box, the blade has a light, tin feel about it, despite being constructed from Pakistani surgical steel. The wooden handle also has the feel of a cheaply made & mass manufactured piece; and it is too short and too small in girth to match the large blade. The entire knife has small defects throughout, and lacks a finished look; it almost looks as though the knife has a previously owned look about it. The "authentic" leather sheath looks more like a vinyl sheath, and matches the cheap feel of the knife itself. This knife definitely falls short of being of decent quality, lacking finish and just having an overall cheaply made feel. Not recommended for the upscale knife collector, nor the individual needing a functional camp knife. Save your money...there a cheaper, better constructed knives than this one.

Blade is thick and heavy. Rather rough construction but what I would expect of a 'jungle' knife. Everyone who has handled this knife has agreed that it would chop through flesh and bone if utilized for that purpose. Very large intimidating blade. Sheath is rather cheap but serviceable.

I like this knife. I actually got it for a better price from another company. Just beware of King of Swords. They may take over six week to deliver if they deliver at all! Leather sheath is ok. better than some.
