nice replacement for factory grips. theese are a little larger than stock, so concealment is a little harder. they do however help with recoil, and look real nice. you can get a little more of your pinky finger on this grip than factory ones. worth the upgrade!

I'm very happy with my grips. they have a quality finish, and look good on the gun. The little finger fits on the bottom just enough.Amazon ships quickly in a well secured package. I highly recommend them.

This Pachmayr grip for the Ruger SP101 is an improvement over the stock Ruger rubber grip for concealed carry, but it has a couple of quirks.

It is made of a heavy grippy rubber with a textured pebbled surface. It also has attractive dark bronze small Pachmayr medallions on both sides. There are no finger grooves on the grip; many people prefer a grip without grooves. It is slightly wider and more rounded than the stock grip, so it fills large hands better. The grip is not much longer than the stock grip, so it is good for concealed carry. However, your little finger still doesn't have much to hang on to (unlike the longer Hogue brand grips).

Like the stock grip, the back of the trigger guard is not covered, so when shooting heavier loads, your second finger knuckle may still get bumped hard by the trigger guard. However unlike the stock grip, you can move your middle finger down about 1/8" to avoid the trigger guard bumps on the knuckle and still have a fairly firm hold. (The larger Hogue brand rubber or hard nylon grips cover the back of the guard and avoid this completely.)

Unlike what one reviewer said, I think the rubber is just as grippy feeling as the rubber version of the Hogue grip, so it could be an issue with printing for concealed carry when a light shirt drapes over the gun. (The hard nylon version of the Hogue grip doesn't have this potential disadvantage, but it is obvioulsy less shock absorbing than rubber grips.) Note also that the Hogue grips are about 1/4" longer than the stock grip and this Pachmayer grip, so they are less concealable.

The recess on the left side for the thumb feels better than on the stock Ruger grip - which has a ridge on the back that digs in a bit into the base of the thumb.

The grips are as stated. Excellent quality, excellent fit and as always excellent service. They are just a bit larger than the stock Ruger grips and that's a plus if you have large hands. This is a must buy if you pack a SP 101.

You should know this is going to be a good review .I love good grips .. Have bought several different brands over the years .. happiest with Pachmayr grips.. I was looking for good grips for the newest defensive revolver in our home came across these and ordered with no hesitation. Works just as well with my speed loader as the factory grips . exact tight fit .feels better in the hand will be seeing about felt recoil .. Recommended highly .. by a satisfied customer.. not like Hoge is a inferior grip but I did spend the extra two dollars for these .different tastes for different people .

I would recommend this grip to anyone who carries the 101 daily.
The grip has good texture but yet still lets clothing move freely, doesnt catch the clothing as bad as the stock Ruger grip
Very easy to put on took me maybe 2 minutes.
Great product

This grip fits the SP101 nicely. Better than the factory grip. I really prefer the Houge Monogrip for the SP 101 but this one lets the gun fit in my pocket better. Nice grip.

Love this grip. As usual Pachmayr makes a quality product and provides better recoil management doing it. The only issue I had is that my HKS speed loaders are just slightly too big to fit in. The grip is a little to thick at that area by a milometer or two. I've heard people say you can sand it off enough to create enough clearance for them but haven't tried it myself. Another thing is definitely read the instructions. I didn't take the grip stud out and was frustrated for ten minutes while I tried figure out why it wouldn't clear the metal. Had I read the instructions closer I would have seen I need to push the metal stud out and put the plastic one provided in its place. The grip slipped right on and that was that.

Definitely would recommend this grip.
