5.0 out of 5 stars Improved my sleep
This comforter kept me snug through an exceptionally cold New England winter. Another reviewer noted the crinkling sound from the inner liner when you move around, but I immediately got used to it despite not being a sound sleeper. I used my previous comforter for years but never understood why some people sleep with the heat turned down low...until I got this Pacific...

1.0 out of 5 stars TERRIBLE!
I second the review above mine to say that this duvet is the worst I have ever bought. I have many duvets of different price/quality, and this is by far the worst. There is absolutely no down in the edges of the blanket, and minimal in the rest. I am going to return this blanket immediately!

1.0 out of 5 stars Extreamly Poor Quality, January 29, 2003

I received it today and what a disappointment it is....
I'm returning it right away.
The product has the appearence of used product (it's new)
and when I hold it up, I see many places where there are no
down filling.
It's the worst purchase I ever made in my life.
This kind of product will do BAD for online business like Amazon.
Amazon should select their products more carefully.
Otherwise, customers will flee from online shopping....

3.0 out of 5 stars For the price, great. For the critic, average., February 21, 2004
This review is from: Pacific Coast Feather Ashburn Full-Queen Down Comforter (Kitchen)
After paying only 59.99 for a down comforter (and knowing what top quality ones cost) I surely cannot complain. Living in Texas the lightweight will do just fine; however if I move to Maine someday I would recommend spending a bit more on a thick comforter. The fill is average but what can you expect for a lightweight comforter AND it was marked down to a reasonable price. If you are looking for something to "sink into" then up your price range and keep looking.

I used my previous comforter for years but never understood why some people sleep with the heat turned down low...until I got this Pacific Coast product. Minor quibble: the free pillows which came extra with the comforter are, ah, worth every penny.

3.0 out of 5 stars Looks can be deceiving..., January 19, 2004

Not a smart buy. The manufacturer's have definitely skipped on Quality, and the supposed price reduction is still not enough to compensate...You would do better to buy another product...

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Bargain Comforter, July 7, 2003
If you are looking for the comforts and features of down, but want a bargain price, this is the comforter for you. The workmanship is superior, with beautiful box step design, a very soft and inviting white cover and all the fluffiness anyone could want. We've slept with it for a week now and we're comfortable even in 98 degree Kansas heat!

As for the crinkly noise that one other reviewer mentioned; it is true but so mild that we don't even notice anymore. I plan on purchasing one for our son's bed when he moves into a big boy bed later this year.

While comfortable, they definitely skimped on the filling a little bit.

This is billed as a lighter weight comforter and that's true, but it's warm enough for winters in the Northwest. The fill shifts a bit and requires periodic fluffing to get it back to the middle but this is not severe.

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice, but noisy..., December 14, 2002

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
First of all, before I start complaining, let me say that it is a very nice comforter, all-in all; very warm, nicely made, etc, etc. HOWEVER, something about the fabric (maybe the inner liner that keeps the down from escaping?) that makes it sound like a plastic tarp when you move around. Very disconcerting!! We plan to buy a flannel comforter cover anyway, so maybe that'll help.

Anyhow, for [the money], I'd recommend it to anyone.
