We bought this one second hand from Craigs list, but were hesitant based on the review below. Our experience could not have been more different. The connection to the back of the bike is very secure and the bolts all well made. There are quick releases on the seat, on the connection to the adult bike and for the childs wheel. Of course the bike will move from side to side a little, as it must be able to do this to pivot and turn. However there was never any risk of our child sliding off as stated in the previous review. I think it could do with the child rider, and if they lean excessively could cause an issue for an unprepared adult. We set out with the intention to do one or two miles to allow our 5 year old to get used to it. He loved it so much, we ended up doing seven miles. You truly can feel the difference when the child is pedalling!

Not safe! Wheel would not stay perpendicular to ground- even when attached correctly, bike wheel still slides sideways so child is at risk for falling off. Had to keep stopping to set it right... then after about 1/4 mile into first ride- wheel completely froze up- as if brakes were applied! Could not get the wheel to roll at all- even when just walking the bike. Called the seller and they stated "oh yeah- that happens- you can fix it by doing this, this and that...." REALLY? And risk my 3 year olds safety? Not worth it. Told I had to pay return shipping plus a restocking fee- for a faulty item.
