This stand has been doing great for over a year with 13 inch hats on it. I do remember that when i recieved it i had an issue with the little metal rod that is inside of the long metal tube of the hi hat stand. i'm explaining this horribly but the rod wasn't connected to the other rod inside. the connection of these two rods is what allows the hihats to open and close when you press the pedal down. i had to do some improvisation and got the two to connect. that is the only reason why i docked a star from this stands.

The stand is just what I was looking for. The two legs makes it easy to set up next to a double base pedal, for easy transition between the two, as well as playing both at the same time.

I am very happy with the stability of this stand. Did not take me long to figure out how to balance it. I did have to do some tweaking with the tension on the foot spring to get it to my liking. By default with my hi hats, it was opening a little too slow for my tastes. Also, I thought that I'd be able to collapse the foot pedal support so that I could fit it into my hardware bag, but unfortunately you can not. But, it's not a huge deal to carry by itself, as it will stand upright with it's legs collapsed (don't have to lay it down). Overall, I think you get great bang for the buck!

This stand solves the space challenges inherent in a double-bass pedal setup. It is a road worthy stand, though some of the collars needed extra attention when tightening.

3+ to 5 Stars...pending.Seems sturdy right from the get-go. Shipping was super fast. Took more than a few minutes to get level and correctly supported without shaking or wobbling. But once I did it felt as stable as my old 3 legged stand I was replacing. If it stays as stable during my next show as it has been during practices, i`d definitely say 5 stars. So 3+ stars pending a full 5 stars.

This is my first foray into the double bass pedal drumming.... and I knew I was going to need a hi hat pedal like this. It's affordable and completely worth it. Assembles very easily and is simple to operate. The footboard gives it tons of stability and the velcro keeps it from slipping while you're jamming, rockin out, shreading etc. :)

I would highly recommend this hardware to anyone!

I bought the stand used but when it came it looked brand new. It tilts a little, but other than that it is a sturdy professional stand.
