light weight but soft metal,
This review is from: Pacific Drums by DW 700 Series Straight Cymbal Stand (Electronics)
This stand was one of my first stands and I got it cause it was cheap. I figured a cymbal stand is a cymbal stand. I subsequently learned that this is not the case. This stand is light weight which is desireable for taking on airplanes and shipping and other things of that nature. However the stand is made with an inferior metal which is prone to dents and general malleability. My stand will no longer change size because the tubes are stuck from being deformed by the wingnuts. So if you're not going to move the stand, I would say its worth it cause its cheap and holds a cymbal. However, if you need to set up and break down even 10 times, this stand is not strong enough and will not last you.

This is a good straigt cymbals stand for the $$$. Keep in mind that it does not extend that tall, if you need a tall stand. Check the dimensions before purchasing. The name brand of the stand is not as important and the quality of cymbal you are using. Even more important is the player playing the cymbal. Hope this helps!

I was impressed by the sturdy, heavy feel of this stand. The wing nuts and hinges are sturdy and adjust easily. No complaints at all here.

I purchased this stand for my E-drum kit and it does exactly what it's made for. It feels durable and is all around solid. If you're low budget, this will fulfill all of your needs. Recommended.

Its not the most sturdy stand, but for the price, it is a very good stand. I needed some cheap stands to to stick my smaller crashes on, and these work great! I would recommend these stands to anyone looking for a quality stand, for a good price.

Good stand for chimes,

I bought this lightweight stand for mounting a set of chimes and works great for that. If you plan on using this stand for cymbals....I wouldn't. It will not hold the weight. Again, great stand for chimes.

I use this stand with my Meinl HCS 20 Inch Ride and it works perfectly. It seems durable enough, although after I set it up I haven't really messed with it besides playing. Pretty good price and nice quality overall, I definitely recommend this stand.

i've been having a little trouble with my back lately, and some mornings it's a little hard to get around. i'm young still, however, so i don't really want the embarassement of using a walker or a rascal, and i simply am not cool enough to use a cane. i figured i'd try this one-handed walker, since the price was very affordable, even after china crashed our stock market after stealing our manufacturing industry. needless to say, i just didn't look cool walking from the car to the gas station with this thing, and even though it is very adjustable, i constantly kick the tripod legs when i walk. i have been thinking about spending a little more for one of those two-legged models with the footplate on the bottom. then i have somewhere to rest my foot while walking, and if my foot is on the footplate, i'll never kick the tripod legs again!
