Drilled and die cut in the torso and leg area to cut weight and maintain insulation but drilled in the foot to lighten but still keep your lower extremities toasty in colder environs. Wedge cut foam puts more foam in the torso for increased comfort and the petite 66 inch length trims weight that would normally be superfluous in a regular length version.

So we got this pad for camping in Patagonia, it was summer there which meant that it snowed 4 times over a 5 day period, and twice we woke up with ice covering the tent...once the frost was on the inside. The pad did great though, didn't feel cold at all. Packs to a very small bundle as well. I am 5'10" and it was good; my husband is 6'4" and used it a couple of nights as well, no problem. Good buy.
