Product Description

The classic Mexican variation on the mortar, the molcajete is a heavy, three-legged bowl used as mortar, mixing bowl and serving dish. It is used to grind tomatilloes, tomatoes and spices into thick, tasty salsas and pur?es. Makes great guacamole too!

This lava molecajete is very authentic and is not only a fine kitchen tool but a piece of handcrafted art from Mexico. Ordering was very easy and delivery was exactly as described with my product being shipped the same day I ordered it

I bought this to be a decoration and to be used, but since it it made of lava rock it seems to "shed" bits of itself constantly to the point where bits of rock are in everything that you might want to crush. Buy this only as a curio it is not functional
