This is a good kids bike. It is not a performance bike by any means but very good for the money. The important part is this: The bike was delivered on time and was very easy to asssemble. Unfortunately once I had it together I realized that the freewheel was defective. This was a present for my Daughter's birthday which at that time was 3 days away. I contacted Amazon via thier online process and they had a new one arrive at my home THE NEXT DAY with no questions asked. What great service! The second one was just fine and we still had it in time for her birthday. UPS picked up the defective bike at my front door and I didn't even have to pay any additonal shipping for the replacement or the return. Kudos to Amazon! I don't think I would have had customer service that good if I walked into a retail store. Buy with confidence! Amazon will make sure you are satisfied.

The bike arrived quickly and the box and pieces were in excellent condidtion. It was simple to assemble and the seat, handlebars, and brakes are easy to adjust to fit our daughter. She has not changed the gears on her own yet as she is adjusting to using hand brakes vs. foot brakes, however the gears will be easy for her to change when she's ready. We are very pleased with the quality of the product.

Gears keep slipping off.,

This is a great bike for the money. We basically bought it because we wanted our daughters next bike to have gears. The problem is that the gear keeps slipping off for no apparent reason and it gets wedged inbetween the smallest gear and the frame and is pretty difficult to get unstuck on the road. When this happens the bike just stops working but we started carrying tools with us to fix it. Arn't sure how to fix it but will keep playing with it.Other than that it fits our 51" child perfectly with the seat as low as it goes and then we have lots of growing room in it. Shocks on the bike work well also. Kickstand is a little difficult to get up. This big is also very heavy for its size so it is hard for our daughter to get it up our 2 front steps.
